Annual Murer House event invites community to celebrate Italian culture, vehicles and springtime charm
The Murer House Foundation is inviting the community to celebrate Italian culture in style as the 13th annual Italy on Wheels returns to Historic Folsom on Saturday, May 16.
Set for 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Murer House, located at 1125 Joe Murer Court, the popular springtime gathering brings together an impressive display of Italian cars, motorcycles, scooters and bicycles, offering a vibrant showcase that blends craftsmanship, history and community connection.
Drawing more than 300 attendees annually, Italy on Wheels has become a signature event for the foundation, attracting both dedicated automotive enthusiasts and families looking for a unique and engaging outing. From vintage classics to modern performance machines, the event highlights the distinctive design and engineering that have made Italian vehicles admired around the world.
Guests will have the opportunity to explore the collection up close, meet vehicle owners and learn more about the stories behind each ride. The event also features awards, including cash prizes for Best of Show and People’s Choice, adding a competitive edge to the festivities.
Beyond the vehicles, the event offers a full cultural experience. Visitors can enjoy pizza, craft beer and Italian sodas available for purchase while taking in the atmosphere of the historic property. The Murer House itself, along with its scenic gardens, will be open for tours, and attendees can participate in a casual game of bocce as part of the day’s activities.
Admission to Italy on Wheels is free, making it an accessible way for the community to come together and celebrate a shared appreciation for Italian heritage and design.
Those who own an Italian car, motorcycle, scooter or bicycle are encouraged to take part in the showcase. Vehicle registration is available by contacting Bob Crawford at bcrawakarob@gmail.com.
The Murer House Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, continues its mission of preserving the historic Murer House while providing cultural and educational programming that connects the community to its Italian roots.
