Seven FCUSD campuses earn state’s highest Platinum designation
Twenty-seven schools across the Folsom Cordova Unified School District have earned recognition through the 2026 California PBIS Recognition System, highlighting their efforts to build positive school cultures and supportive learning environments for students.
The annual recognition honors schools for their implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, commonly known as PBIS. The framework focuses on establishing consistent expectations for student behavior, reinforcing positive behavior and using schoolwide practices designed to improve student success and campus climate.
Among the 27 FCUSD schools recognized this year, seven received Platinum recognition, the highest level awarded through the program. Another seven earned Gold recognition, 11 received Silver recognition and two earned Bronze recognition.
The district’s Platinum schools for 2026 are Cordova Meadows Elementary School, Cordova Villa Elementary School, Navigator Elementary School, Rancho Cordova Elementary School, White Rock Elementary School, Williamson Elementary School and Mills Middle School.
Gold recognition was awarded to Alder Creek Elementary School, Carl H. Sundahl Elementary School, Cordova Gardens Academy of Arts and Sciences, Gold Ridge Elementary School, Natoma Station Elementary School, Sutter Middle School and Cordova High School.
Eleven FCUSD campuses received Silver recognition: Blanche Sprentz Elementary School, Empire Oaks Elementary School, Mangini Ranch Elementary School, Oak Chan Elementary School, Peter J. Shields Elementary School, Riverview STEM Academy, Russell Ranch Elementary School, Sandra J. Gallardo Elementary School, Folsom Middle School, Folsom High School and Vista del Lago High School.
Mather Heights Elementary School and Theodore Judah Elementary School received Bronze recognition.
The California PBIS Recognition System is designed to acknowledge schools that demonstrate implementation of PBIS practices aimed at promoting positive behavior, strengthening school culture and supporting students academically, socially and emotionally.
For FCUSD, this year’s recognition spans elementary, middle and high school campuses in both Folsom and Rancho Cordova, with schools represented at every recognition level.
The 27 FCUSD campuses will be recognized alongside other schools from throughout the state during the 2026 California PBIS Conference, scheduled to take place in October in Sacramento.
“Congratulations to all 27 recognized FCUSD schools and the educators, staff, students and families whose commitment helps create welcoming, supportive learning environments where every student can thrive,” the district said.
