Family-friendly celebration returns with performers, more than 90 booths, food trucks, activities and community connections
Organizers of Folsom Family Pride have announced the city’s second annual community celebration of LGBTQIA+ pride will take place Sunday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Folsom City Lions Park, 403 Stafford St.
Welcoming all ages, the event invites residents and visitors to celebrate joy, resilience and the strength of the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies.
The five-hour celebration will feature performers, local community vendors, food trucks, a picnic area, arts and crafts, and activities for all ages. Organizers describe the event as a welcoming park-day format designed to make it easy for attendees to connect with neighbors, gather and participate throughout the day.
“After the amazing success of our inaugural festival in 2025, our organization is beyond excited to make this a recurring annual community event,” said Sarah Perrin, president and founder of Folsom Family Pride. “This year’s festival will be even bigger (over 90 booths!) and better than last year and we are thrilled to celebrate with the community. Our event organizers have made this festival a welcoming, family-friendly space for all to enjoy.”
Community backing for the event includes businesses, nonprofits and civic groups. Sponsors include Intel, Aptos Financial Planners, Conrad Supply and Little Folks University, along with additional local partners including Ruby’s Books and Ben & Jerry’s. A complete list of sponsors is available through Folsom Family Pride’s website and Instagram page.
Kaiser Permanente is also sponsoring the festival and will offer free flu shots to members of the community during the event. Organizers said the support reflects a shared commitment to equity, inclusion and a vibrant civic life in and around Folsom.
Volunteers are also central to the festival’s operations and hospitality. Opportunities include event setup and teardown, assisting vendors, greeting attendees and helping at activity stations. Volunteers will receive a Folsom Family Pride T-shirt and refreshments as a thank-you for their service.
Those interested in volunteering are encouraged to submit an interest form as soon as possible. The deadline to receive a volunteer T-shirt is Sept. 25. Volunteer information is available through the Folsom Family Pride volunteer page.
The festival will include speakers, music, drag performances, food trucks, local vendors, a picnic area, arts and crafts, and activities for all ages. Admission and additional event details, including frequently asked questions, are available through the Folsom Family Pride event information page.
Folsom Family Pride describes its mission as creating welcoming spaces where LGBTQIA+ people, families and allies can connect, celebrate and feel supported. In addition to its annual family-friendly Pride festival, the organization conducts community outreach throughout the year.
