Animal-focused events roll out at all stores, including new El Dorado Hills location
EL DORADO HILLS — Tractor Supply Company is ushering in a month of animal-centered events designed to bring pet owners, backyard chicken enthusiasts and rural lifestyle families into its stores for savings, supplies and community celebration.
Tractor Supply Company announced a lineup of February festivities that includes the return of its annual Chick Days promotion, the debut of a new Animal Days savings event and a nationwide Farm Bash scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 21. The events will take place at stores across the region, including its new El Dorado Hills location.
“Pets and animals are a big part of Life Out Here, and we are eager to celebrate the role they play, whether on the farm or ranch, or in our homes,” said Nicole Logan, senior vice president and general merchandise manager at Tractor Supply. “Through Animal Days and Chick Days, Tractor Supply provides pet and animal owners with access to all the products and resources they need, along with valuable discounts, special savings and exciting giveaways. We’re thrilled to kick off these events with a Farm Bash celebration on Saturday, February 21, that brings our local communities together in honor of the animals we love and care for every day.”
Chick Days, one of the company’s most popular seasonal promotions, is now underway. Live chicks, ducks and other poultry breeds are available in stores through Sept. 13 and online year-round. The annual event caters to both first-time flock owners and experienced poultry keepers, offering birds, feed, coops, bedding and health supplies.
To mark this year’s launch, Tractor Supply invited social media followers to name its Chick Days mascot. After narrowing thousands of submissions to 10 finalists, customers selected the name “Coop.” The mascot is helping promote the event both in stores and online.
Company officials say Chick Days reflects the continued growth of backyard poultry ownership, particularly in suburban communities where interest in sustainable living and home food production remains strong. Tractor Supply positions itself as a year-round resource for poultry owners, with staff available to answer questions and provide guidance.
New this year is Animal Days, a nine-day savings event running Feb. 21 through March 1. The promotion offers discounts on pet and animal products, including food, treats, toys and wellness supplies. Among the featured deals is a 10% savings on feed and forage when customers purchase dry dog or dry cat food.
The celebration culminates in a Farm Bash on Saturday, Feb. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time at participating stores nationwide. Customers are encouraged to bring leashed pets to enjoy in-store activities, including dog and horse treat tastings from 4health and Purina, limited-edition bandanas, giveaways and doorbuster deals. Select locations are partnering with Petfinder to host dog adoption events.
PepsiCo Inc. is supporting Animal Days with $120,000 in donations to local animal shelters across the country.
Founded more than 85 years ago, Tractor Supply serves recreational farmers, ranchers, homeowners, gardeners and pet enthusiasts across the United States. As of late 2025, the company operates 2,395 Tractor Supply stores in 49 states and 207 Petsense by Tractor Supply stores in 23 states.
For local residents in Folsom and El Dorado Hills, the February events provide an opportunity to connect with fellow animal owners, explore seasonal savings and celebrate the role pets and livestock play in daily life close to home.
