Saturday takes center stage at Powerhouse Pub this weekend with a dynamic day-to-night lineup led by a Pink Floyd tribute experience and a high-energy late-night dance performance, before the venue transitions into a soulful Sunday blues finale in the heart of Historic Folsom.
The day begins Saturday, April 18 with the Saturday Afternoon Dance Party as Another Brick takes the stage at 3 p.m., delivering an immersive tribute to the legendary sound of Pink Floyd. Known for pairing meticulous musicianship with a full visual production, the band recreates the atmosphere that defined one of rock’s most influential catalogs.
Featuring a laser-driven light show synchronized with carefully performed renditions of songs from albums including The Wall, Wish You Were Here, Animals and Dark Side of the Moon, the performance goes beyond a traditional tribute set, offering fans a layered experience that blends sound, visuals and emotion.
The afternoon setting provides a unique opportunity for audiences to take in the music in a more open, interactive environment while still capturing the scale and intensity associated with Pink Floyd’s original productions. From atmospheric instrumentals to iconic vocal-driven anthems, Another Brick delivers a performance designed to resonate with longtime fans and new listeners alike.
As the evening builds, Powerhouse shifts gears into a full-scale nightlife experience with Power Play taking over at 10 p.m. Known for their versatility and nonstop energy, the band brings a genre-spanning set that keeps the dance floor active from start to finish. Seamlessly moving between Top 40 hits, classic rock, country and modern favorites, Power Play blends artists like Lady Gaga, Johnny Cash and Eminem into a cohesive, high-impact performance.

With strong vocalists, tight instrumentation and a focus on crowd engagement, the band creates a late-night atmosphere centered on movement and participation. Their ability to transition between styles without losing momentum keeps audiences engaged throughout the set, while the venue’s large LED dance floor, multiple bars and high-energy crowd environment elevate the experience into one of the most active nightlife scenes in the region.
Heartstrings Cabaret between bands
Adding a unique layer to the evening, the return of Heart Strings Cabaret brings a burlesque and variety show experience to the Powerhouse stage at 7:30 p.m. Hosted by Teddi Heart and featuring DJ Rockin’ Rigatony, the show blends classic cabaret flair with modern performance energy. With doors opening at 7 p.m., the 21-and-over event offers a theatrical, high-style interlude between the day’s live music and the late-night dance floor, adding a different dimension to the venue’s Saturday entertainment lineup.
Red’s Blues Sunday
The weekend continues Sunday, April 19 as the Powerhouse of Blues series returns at 3 p.m. with Red’s Blues featuring Steve Freund, bringing a shift in tone while maintaining a strong connection to live performance tradition. Formed in 2012, the Sacramento Blues Hall of Fame group blends Americana, blues, R&B and swing into a sound rooted in authenticity and storytelling.
Led by Beth Reid-Grigsby and Richard “RW” Grigsby, the band draws on decades of musical experience, delivering performances that emphasize rhythm, emotion and connection with the audience. The addition of guitarist Steve Freund brings nationally recognized blues credentials to the stage, adding depth and dimension to the group’s already established sound.
The Sunday performance offers a more laid-back but equally engaging close to the weekend, providing a contrast to Saturday’s high-energy lineup while still delivering a powerful live music experience.
Throughout the weekend, Powerhouse Pub continues to showcase its role as one of Historic Folsom’s premier destinations for live entertainment. With multiple performance areas, a large LED dance floor and a consistent lineup of regional talent and specialty acts, the venue remains a central hub for both daytime events and late-night crowds.
