The incident has disrupted service along the Gold Line, which serves Rancho Cordova and extends into Folsom. Sacramento Regional Transit confirmed that a bus bridge has been established between the Mather Field/Mills and Sunrise stations to accommodate riders while the affected stretch of track remains closed.

In a statement, Regional Transit officials said the disruption was caused by “the driver of a car going around the downed crossing arms and colliding with a Folsom-bound train,” and advised riders to check the Alert SacRT app for the latest service updates.
