Sacramento musician who has shared stages with rock legends headlines free weekend performance
More than five decades after first picking up a guitar, Sacramento musician Clint Warner continues to captivate audiences throughout Northern California with a live show rooted in blues, rock and timeless musicianship. This Saturday, Warner brings that signature sound to the Stage Bar at Red Hawk Resort Casino for a free performance beginning at 10 p.m.
Known for his expressive guitar work and soulful vocals, Warner has spent decades developing a style that blends blues, classic rock, country, jazz and funk into an energetic performance that appeals to music fans across generations. Whether performing an original composition or reimagining a familiar classic, Warner’s shows are built around authenticity, musicianship and an unmistakable passion for live performance.
Born in San Francisco in 1967, Warner began playing guitar at just 8 years old. Early exposure to a wide range of musical influences helped shape both his vocal style and versatile guitar technique. By his late teens, after relocating to California’s Central Valley, he immersed himself in Northern California’s thriving live music scene, performing everything from Top 40 hits and country to blues, jazz and rock.
That musical foundation opened the door to opportunities alongside respected artists throughout his career. During his twenties, Warner regularly performed with bassist Bill Church, whose résumé includes work with Sammy Hagar, Ronnie Montrose and Van Morrison. The experience further expanded Warner’s musical range while reinforcing his reputation as a talented and dependable performer.
Warner later returned to Humboldt County, where he focused on songwriting and performing under his own name. Over time, he became recognized as one of Northern California’s hardest-working musicians, playing venues throughout the region while refining a sound that draws equally from acoustic blues, electric rock, jazz improvisation and soulful storytelling.
His long career has also included opening performances for an impressive list of nationally known artists, including Gregg Allman, Joan Jett, Cheap Trick, Foghat, Foreigner, Tommy Castro, Lydia Pence and Cold Blood, and Joe Bonamassa. Those opportunities have helped cement Warner’s standing as one of the region’s most accomplished live performers while exposing his music to audiences across California.
Saturday’s performance offers Red Hawk guests the opportunity to experience Warner’s versatile musicianship in the intimate atmosphere of the casino’s Stage Bar, where audiences can expect a blend of blues standards, classic rock favorites, soulful originals and guitar-driven performances delivered with the confidence and polish that come from decades on stage.
Warner takes the Stage Bar stage Saturday from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Admission is free, with seating available on a first-come, first-served basis.
