Original rock, hard-driving riffs and alternative influences headline June 6 show in Orangevale
ORANGEVALE — A night of original rock music takes center stage at The Boardwalk on Saturday, June 6, as Canadian rock band Stone Luck crosses the border to headline a lineup that also includes Babylon Gypsies and Madman Locomotive.
Beginning at 8 p.m., the three-band bill brings together a mix of classic rock influences, alternative edge and original songwriting for an evening aimed at fans looking for something beyond the typical cover-band experience.
Headlining the night is Stone Luck, a Windsor, Ontario-based band featuring Tom Watson on lead vocals and guitar, Joe Maurovic on drums, Riccardo Santia on bass and vocals, and Vince Shepley on guitar and vocals.
The group has spent years building a following in its hometown music scene while developing a reputation for balancing crowd-favorite classics with a growing catalog of original material. Band members describe their approach as mastering “both sides of the coin,” blending familiar rock influences with their own songwriting and performance style.
