High-energy tribute band recreates the unforgettable sound, style and dance-floor hits of the MTV era during Saturday night performance on the shores of Lake Natoma.
Big hair, neon lights, synthesizers and some of the most recognizable songs of the 1980s will take over the shoreline of Lake Natoma this weekend as Class of 85 brings its high-energy New Wave tribute show to Crawdads on the Lake.
The Sacramento-area band takes the stage Saturday, July 18, from 9 to 11:30 p.m., transforming the popular waterfront venue into a celebration of one of music’s most iconic decades. Known for recreating the unmistakable sound and atmosphere of classic ’80s New Wave, Class of 85 delivers a performance built around the era’s biggest dance hits and alternative anthems.
Rather than focusing on a single artist, the band celebrates the decade through music made famous by groups including Duran Duran, The Cure, INXS and The Smiths, combining shimmering guitar tones, synth-driven rhythms and memorable singalong choruses that defined a generation.
Fronted by lead vocalist and guitarist Travis Tremble, the band also features lead guitarist and keyboardist Steven McDermott and bassist Mike Boito. Together, the veteran musicians have earned a reputation across Northern California for polished performances that recreate both the sound and energy of the MTV generation.

Class of 85 has become a familiar name throughout the Sacramento region by delivering concerts that go beyond simply playing songs. Audience participation, dancing and crowd interaction are central to every performance, creating an atmosphere that encourages fans to relive the soundtrack of their youth while introducing the music to a new generation.
Whether it’s upbeat dance favorites or emotionally charged New Wave classics, the band’s setlist is designed to keep audiences engaged from beginning to end. The group regularly performs at festivals, concerts and community events throughout Northern California, adapting each performance to match the energy of the venue and crowd.
Saturday’s performance continues Crawdads on the Lake’s busy summer entertainment lineup, bringing another evening of live music to the restaurant’s scenic outdoor stage overlooking Lake Natoma. Concert seating is festival-style and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests planning to dine before the show are encouraged to make reservations, as dinner seating is separate from concert admission.
With waterfront views, warm summer weather and nearly three hours of classic ’80s favorites, Saturday night’s performance promises to be one of the season’s biggest nostalgia-filled dance parties.
Class of 85 performs Saturday, July 18, from 9 to 11:30 p.m. at Crawdads on the Lake, located at 9900 Greenback Lane in Folsom. Reservations and additional venue information are available through Crawdads on the Lake.
