Sons of Rock opens Friday, Stereotype keeps the party going Saturday before Autumn Harmony takes over Sunday
Red Hawk Resort + Casino is stretching this weekend’s entertainment across three nights, beginning with classic rock Friday, shifting into a high-energy pop-rock party Saturday and wrapping up with a special two-show concert Sunday.
Sons of Rock returns to the Stage Bar Friday, Sept. 18, from 8 p.m. to midnight, bringing four hours of classic rock favorites spanning some of the genre’s biggest decades. Saturday, Sept. 19, Sacramento-based Stereotype takes over from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. with its genre-crossing combination of pop, rock and dance-floor favorites.
Then on Sunday, Sept. 20, Red Hawk adds something different to its regular weekend entertainment schedule as AMV Productions presents Autumn Harmony, a special concert event featuring two performances at 6 and 8:30 p.m.
Friday night belongs to Sons of Rock, the Reno-based group that has become a familiar favorite on the Red Hawk Stage Bar lineup.
The band builds its shows around the classic rock sounds of the 1970s, ’80s and ’90s, bringing audiences a musical trip through three decades that produced some of rock music’s most recognizable songs, guitar riffs and arena-sized anthems.
Sons of Rock has developed a regional following with performances centered on well-known classics rather than obscure album cuts, creating the type of show where audiences can recognize the songs, sing along and spend much of the evening on the dance floor.
Their repertoire moves through the changing sounds of those decades, from the melodic and guitar-driven rock of the 1970s to the larger-than-life anthems of the 1980s and into the harder and alternative-influenced sounds that emerged during the 1990s.
The group’s energetic stage presence has made Sons of Rock a repeat visitor to Red Hawk over the years. Rather than simply reproducing familiar songs, the band brings its own live energy to the material while keeping the sound and spirit that made the originals memorable.

For longtime rock fans, the show offers plenty of nostalgia. For those who discovered the music long after its original release, it is an opportunity to hear decades of familiar rock favorites performed live in one night.
Sons of Rock takes the Stage Bar Friday at 8 p.m. and keeps the music going until midnight. Red Hawk lists the evening as classic rock.
Saturday brings a significant change in sound when Sacramento-based Stereotype returns to Red Hawk for a four-hour late-night performance beginning at 10 p.m.
Stereotype is a five-piece cover band built around versatility, high-energy musicianship and creative mashups that allow its performances to move between musical styles without bringing the party to a stop.
While Red Hawk categorizes Saturday’s show as pop-rock, Stereotype’s repertoire reaches considerably further. The group is known for blending pop and rock with R&B, funk, country, classic rock and even old-school rap and hip-hop, giving its shows a broad musical range.

That variety means a Stereotype performance can move from a contemporary hit into a throwback favorite before changing direction again, with the band using transitions and mashups to keep the show moving rather than treating the night as a collection of disconnected songs.
The formula has made Stereotype a familiar name throughout the Sacramento and Northern California entertainment scene, with appearances at casinos, festivals, clubs and special events.
Its Red Hawk appearances have been particularly well suited to the Stage Bar, where the group’s focus on recognizable songs and danceable material has regularly kept audiences moving well into the night.
The musicianship behind the show is an important part of that formula. Tight arrangements and strong vocals allow the group to tackle music from dramatically different genres while maintaining its own identity and energy onstage.
Stereotype takes over the Stage Bar Saturday from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m., giving Red Hawk four more hours of live music after Friday’s classic rock opener.
Autumn Harmony brings special concert to Red Hawk Sunday
The weekend entertainment continues beyond the regular Friday and Saturday Stage Bar schedule with a special Sunday event as AMV Productions brings Autumn Harmony to Red Hawk Resort + Casino on Sept. 20.
Red Hawk is billing Autumn Harmony as an exclusive concert featuring an all-star lineup, with two separate performances scheduled for 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
Unlike the regular Stage Bar performances, the Sunday event is being presented specifically for Red Hawk Rewards Club members. Tickets are free and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of the concert.
Rewards Club members can pick up tickets at Red Hawk’s Gift Pick Up Center beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday. Those who are not currently Rewards Club members can join for free that day and then obtain tickets, subject to availability.
Red Hawk has not published the individual performers in the all-star Autumn Harmony lineup on its public event page, but the resort is promoting the event as a special AMV Productions presentation separate from its normal Stage Bar weekend schedule.
For additional ticket information, Red Hawk directs guests to its VIP Host Office at 530-672-5095.
With two shows scheduled Sunday evening, Autumn Harmony extends what would normally be a two-night live music weekend at Red Hawk into a three-day entertainment lineup.
Beyond the music, Red Hawk Resort + Casino offers several ways for visitors to turn one of the performances into a longer outing.
The Apex is Red Hawk’s approximately 85,000-square-foot, all-ages entertainment complex and offers a variety of attractions away from the casino floor. Among them are indoor electric go-kart racing, 18 lanes of interactive bowling, golf simulators, arcade games and virtual reality experiences.
The complex also includes Apex Grill and Apex Sports Bar, offering visitors a place to grab food or drinks and watch sporting events before or after the weekend’s live entertainment.
Families have additional options through Cyber Quest, Red Hawk’s professionally supervised family-friendly arcade featuring nonviolent games, as well as Kids Quest, which provides supervised child care and activities for children from six weeks through 12 years old.
For adults, the casino offers thousands of slot machines and a large selection of table games, along with dining, bars and lounges throughout the property. Red Hawk’s 156-room hotel also gives visitors the option of turning an evening at the resort into an overnight stay.
Rewards Club members have several promotions underway as well. On Saturday, Sept. 19, members who earn 2,000 points can swipe their Rewards Card at a kiosk between 8 a.m. and midnight to receive a free gift. This week’s choices include a 39-piece tool kit, an over-door shoe organizer, an item from the Gift Showcase or $20 in Free Play, while supplies last.
Red Hawk is also continuing its Free Slot Tournament Monday through Friday, offering 10 winners each day and a $500 Free Play top prize. Club 55 continues seven days a week with special dining and gaming promotions for Rewards Club members age 55 and older.
The resort’s Koto Buffet promotion allows members to earn 100 points to receive a $19 buffet offer on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, while a separate Tuesday locals promotion offers Rewards Club members a $15 buffet throughout September.
High-limit table game players can earn entries Wednesday through Friday for Red Hawk’s Golden Fortune Wheel drawings Saturday night, which feature 18 winners and a guaranteed Movado watch prize among the available rewards.
Later this month, the resort will also hold its $100,000 Lucky Harvest Drawings on Sunday, Sept. 27, featuring Free Play and cash prizes for qualifying Rewards Club members.
Between Sons of Rock Friday, Stereotype Saturday and the special Autumn Harmony performances Sunday, this weekend offers an unusually full slate of live entertainment at Red Hawk, with The Apex, gaming, dining and resort promotions providing plenty to do before and after the music.
Red Hawk Resort + Casino is located at 1 Red Hawk Parkway off Highway 50 in El Dorado County. In addition to the Stage Bar, casino and The Apex, the property includes multiple restaurants and bars and a 156-room hotel.
