September event at Zittel Family Amphitheater will raise funds to support Historic Folsom Rotary’s community programs
Live music and community giving will come together in Historic Folsom next month when Clean Slate takes the stage at the Zittel Family Amphitheater for a benefit concert supporting the ongoing community work of Historic Folsom Rotary.
The concert is set for Friday, Sept. 18, at the outdoor amphitheater at 200 Wool St. Doors will open at 6 p.m., with music beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door.
The evening is designed as both a night of entertainment and a fundraiser for Historic Folsom Rotary, whose members support a variety of nonprofit organizations, schools, youth programs and community projects throughout the Folsom area.
Clean Slate will provide the evening’s live entertainment as concertgoers gather beneath the stars in the heart of the Historic District. Guests are encouraged to bring low-back beach chairs for amphitheater seating. Raffle prizes will be offered throughout the evening, and beverages will be available for purchase. Attendees are encouraged to bring cash for the raffle and beverage sales.
Proceeds from the event will help Historic Folsom Rotary continue its local service efforts under Rotary International’s longstanding “Service Above Self” philosophy.
Among the organizations supported through the club’s community involvement is HART of Folsom, which works with people experiencing homelessness to help them move toward self-sufficiency and long-term independence.
Historic Folsom Rotary also supports Twin Lakes Food Bank, which provides food and other assistance to local families, seniors and individuals facing food insecurity, as well as Folsom’s Hope, a local nonprofit that provides mentoring, after-school programs and other services for children and families.
The club’s reach extends beyond those organizations, with members contributing to numerous local nonprofits, schools, youth programs and community projects throughout the year.
Organizers said the benefit concert is intended to bring residents together for an enjoyable evening while generating resources that can be put back into the community.
“These concerts are about so much more than the music,” organizers said. “They bring our community together for a great evening while helping us continue the work of supporting the people and organizations that make Folsom such a special place to live.”
The Sept. 18 event will feature live music, raffle prizes and an opportunity for attendees to learn more about the work Historic Folsom Rotary performs throughout the community.
