Lynsey’s Prime Country brings three decades of country favorites Friday before Wildheart turns up a cross-genre mix Saturday
Red Hawk Resort Casino keeps the summer entertainment rolling this weekend with two nights of free live music as Lynsey’s Prime Country returns to the Stage Bar on Friday with a dance-ready trip through some of country music’s most popular decades before Wildheart takes over Saturday with a wide-ranging mix of classic rock, country and soulful pop favorites.
Friday night is all about boots, harmonies and timeless country hits as Lynsey’s Prime Country takes the Stage Bar from 8 p.m. until midnight.
Based in the Sacramento and Folsom region, the rising band has quickly developed a following by celebrating the songs that helped define country music during the 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s. Rather than concentrating on a single artist or style, Lynsey’s Prime Country draws from an era that produced generations of radio favorites, dance-floor staples and songs that country fans still know by heart.
With previous appearances at Red Hawk drawing packed crowds, the band returns with the tight vocal harmonies, authentic country sound and energetic presentation that have helped make it a local favorite.
The group’s setlist reaches across some of country music’s biggest names, from Alabama and George Strait to Shania Twain and Brooks & Dunn. That combination provides plenty of variety throughout the night, moving between boot-stomping favorites, country ballads and familiar singalong hits.
For fans who grew up listening to country radio during those decades, the show offers plenty of nostalgia. For newer country audiences, it provides a live introduction to many of the songs and artists whose influence remains prominent in the genre today.
At the heart of the performance are the band’s harmonies and an approach that remains faithful to the music while delivering the energy of a live dance-floor show. From the opening song through midnight, Lynsey’s Prime Country aims to keep the Stage Bar moving with recognizable favorites and a feel-good country atmosphere.
Saturday night changes musical directions as Wildheart takes over the Stage Bar from 8 p.m. until midnight, bringing a cross-genre show that moves through classic rock, country and soulful pop.
Wildheart’s broad musical influences read like a tour through several decades of American popular music. The band draws inspiration from artists including Heart, Fleetwood Mac, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, Tanya Tucker, Jo Dee Messina, The Rolling Stones, James Taylor, Joni Mitchell and Stevie Wonder.
At the center of the group is powerhouse vocalist Lisa Ellis, whose range allows Wildheart to move comfortably between rock, country and soulful pop without losing the identity of the songs that made them famous.
That versatility has become an important part of Wildheart’s live performances. Rather than staying within one musical lane, the band can move from guitar-driven rock to country favorites and melodic singer-songwriter classics, giving audiences a varied show filled with familiar music.
Ellis also showcases her vocal versatility through the band’s Linda Ronstadt tribute project, Ronstadt Retrospect. The tribute celebrates the music of one of the most versatile voices in American popular music while giving Ellis an opportunity to interpret songs from Ronstadt’s extensive catalog.
For Saturday’s Red Hawk appearance, Wildheart brings that same range to the Stage Bar for four hours of live music, creating a night that can appeal to classic rock fans, country listeners and those simply looking for recognizable music and a busy dance floor.
All Stage Bar performances at Red Hawk Resort Casino are free with no cover charge, and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The $1,000,000 Waves of Cash Giveaway continues every Saturday, with all Red Hawk Rewards Club members eligible to participate. Members receive free drawing entries each drawing day based on their club tier, with drawings held at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. An additional 100 bonus entries are available each drawing day through the myRedHawk mobile app.
Free Play Fridays offer Rewards Club members $15 in Free Play for every 1,000 points earned on Fridays. The reward can be earned up to 10 times, allowing members to receive as much as $150 in Free Play.
The $100,000 Blackjack Free Roll Tournament Series also continues Tuesdays through Sept. 8, with registration beginning at 4 p.m. All Rewards Club members are eligible for one free entry, and the first 50 sign-ups receive a complimentary $10 Talon Takeback card.
Tuesday Gas Rewards are also available through the Red Hawk Travel Center. Rewards Club members who earn 500 points can receive a $10 gas voucher and claim up to $30 in gas rewards every Tuesday. Saturday Gifts provide another perk for Rewards Club members. Members can use their Rewards Card to accumulate points toward a free gift each Saturday and swipe their card at any Rewards Kiosk to redeem the qualifying gift between 8 a.m. and midnight.
A new dining promotion begins Tuesday, Aug. 11, for El Dorado County residents. The Tuesday Locals Special at Koto Buffet offers a $15 buffet all day on Tuesdays. Residents must present a valid ID at the Rewards Club to enroll in the offer. The buffet is regularly priced at $29.
The fun also extends to The Apex at Red Hawk, where the property’s Summer Pass remains available through Aug. 28. The pass can be used all day Monday through Thursday and Fridays before 5 p.m. and is priced at $119.99, or $99 for Rewards Club members. It includes two games of bowling, free shoe rental, $10 off any kart race package, a $10 arcade card reload and 10 percent off purchases at Apex Grill, excluding alcohol.
The Apex adds an all-ages entertainment component to the resort with bowling, arcade games, indoor electric kart racing, sports simulators and dining at Apex Grill, giving families and groups additional options beyond the casino floor.
