Bad Moon Rising, Cover Me Badd, Jimmy Overdrive, Adam Aldama & The Aces and Dennis Jones bring three days of live entertainment to Powerhouse Pub
From the timeless music of Creedence Clearwater Revival and high-energy party favorites to one of Southern California’s premier blues guitarists, another diverse weekend of live entertainment is headed to Historic Folsom as Powerhouse Pub presents three days of music spanning classic rock, country, dance hits and blues.
Leading the weekend is Friday’s tribute to Creedence Clearwater Revival by Bad Moon Rising before the dance floor fills with Cover Me Badd. Saturday keeps the momentum going with Jimmy Overdrive and Adam Aldama & The Aces, while Sunday closes with acclaimed blues guitarist Dennis Jones as the popular Powerhouse of Blues series continues.
Friday, July 24 begins with the TGIF Early Show featuring Bad Moon Rising at 6:30 p.m.
Paying tribute to one of America’s most enduring rock bands, Bad Moon Rising celebrates the unforgettable music of Creedence Clearwater Revival with a performance built around authenticity, energy and respect for the band’s unmistakable sound. From swamp rock classics to John Fogerty’s celebrated solo work, the Sacramento-area tribute act recreates the songs that helped define an era of American rock music.
Audiences can expect to hear many of Creedence’s best-known hits, including “Proud Mary,” “Bad Moon Rising,” “Fortunate Son,” “Down on the Corner,” “Green River,” “Have You Ever Seen the Rain,” “Born on the Bayou,” “Travelin’ Band” and “Lookin’ Out My Back Door,” along with selections from Fogerty’s successful solo career. With faithful musicianship and an energetic stage presence, the band offers longtime fans and newer audiences alike the opportunity to relive one of rock’s most iconic catalogs.
Friday night then shifts from classic rock into full party mode as Cover Me Badd takes over the stage beginning at 10 p.m.
Known throughout Northern California as one of the region’s favorite high-energy party bands, Cover Me Badd specializes in keeping dance floors full with an extensive catalog of crowd favorites spanning multiple decades. Their polished performances blend classic dance anthems with today’s biggest hits, creating a nonstop soundtrack for a late-night celebration.
Saturday, July 25 begins with the Saturday Afternoon Dance Party featuring Jimmy Overdrive at 3 p.m.
Known for energetic performances and strong audience interaction, Jimmy Overdrive delivers a musical mix that crosses genres while remaining rooted in rock. Their performances blend classic and modern rock with country, blues and alternative favorites, creating a dynamic setlist designed to appeal to a wide range of music fans.
Whether shifting from feel-good country grooves to guitar-driven rock anthems or gritty blues numbers, Jimmy Overdrive has earned a reputation for creating engaging live shows that emphasize musicianship as much as entertainment.
Saturday night belongs to one of Northern California’s most popular live acts as Adam Aldama & The Aces return to Powerhouse beginning at 10 p.m.
Since debuting in 2021, Adam Aldama & The Aces have become a fixture throughout the Sacramento region, earning a loyal following through energetic performances that combine powerful vocals, polished choreography and nonstop audience interaction.
Led by frontman Adam Aldama alongside Veronica Ballejos, Brett Sackett, Keywan Ryland and Jimmy O’Shea, the five-piece band seamlessly moves through decades of music while keeping dance floors packed with classic favorites, throwback hits and today’s biggest songs.
The band’s versatility has also made its themed productions some of the most popular live shows in the region. Audiences have embraced The Red Corvettes, celebrating the music of Prince; Finesse, a tribute to Bruno Mars; 2Bad, honoring Michael Jackson; Y2K Live, featuring early-2000s favorites; and Night Fever, a high-energy salute to the disco era.

The weekend concludes Sunday, July 26 as the Powerhouse of Blues series welcomes acclaimed guitarist, singer and songwriter Dennis Jones beginning at 3 p.m.
Jones has spent years touring throughout the United States, Canada and Europe while sharing stages with blues legends including Johnny Winter, Buddy Guy, George Thorogood and Tinsley Ellis. Today, he headlines festivals and venues with a high-energy show driven by blazing guitar work, soulful vocals and a powerhouse rhythm section.
Deeply rooted in traditional blues while embracing a contemporary rock edge, Jones has developed a distinctive style that bridges both worlds through original songwriting and electrifying live performances. His career has also included writing songs for other artists, spending three years as a member of The BusBoys and performing with The Zac Harmon Band, which captured first place at the 2004 Blues Music Awards International Blues Challenge in Memphis.
Known for sizzling guitar solos and dynamic stage presence, Dennis Jones closes out the weekend with a performance that promises to be another standout edition of Powerhouse Pub’s popular Sunday blues series.
From Creedence Clearwater Revival classics and dance-floor favorites to contemporary party bands and nationally recognized blues, this weekend’s lineup once again showcases the variety that continues to make Powerhouse Pub one of Folsom’s favorite entertainment spots in the city’s Historic District.
