Cynthia Renee is set to headline the Folsom Hotel Saloon this Saturday, May 30, as the local country singer-songwriter continues a year marked by new releases, national recognition and growing success on country music charts.
Doors open at 7 p.m. with the concert beginning at 8 p.m. Renee is expected to perform songs from throughout her catalog, including recent releases to country radio that have helped expand her audience beyond Northern California.
For audiences familiar with Renee’s music, the performance offers a chance to experience both the songs that helped build her following and newer material that continues to reach listeners across the country and abroad. Known for heartfelt lyrics, powerful vocals and an engaging stage presence, Renee has developed a reputation for blending contemporary country sounds with meaningful stories rooted in real-life experiences.
Among the songs that have drawn national attention is “Have a Heart for a Hero,” her tribute to military personnel, first responders and frontline workers. The 2025 release has become one of the defining songs of her career, earning praise for its message of gratitude and service while showcasing the emotional depth of her songwriting.
The accompanying music video carries a distinctly local connection. Filmed in both Folsom and Nashville, the production features area first responders and their K-9 partners, creating a visual tribute that has resonated with audiences across the country while strengthening Renee’s ties to the community.
The song’s impact has extended into awards season as well. “Have a Heart for a Hero” received a nomination for Social Impact Video of the Year at the Josie Music Awards, while her song “Good on Me” earned a nomination for Female Country Song of the Year.
Closer to home, she continues to enjoy strong support from local audiences. Renee was voted Best Local Band in the 2025 Best of Times Awards by Folsom Times readers and has become a familiar performer throughout the Sacramento region and beyond.
Her recognition extends beyond California. Renee was also nominated for Song of the Year by The Mississippi Music Foundation for her latest release, “The Way God Made Me,” where she was selected to perform at the organization’s awards show in Mississippi.
Renee’s catalog reflects a broad range of styles and themes. Earlier songs including “Working on a Hangover” and “Good on Me” introduced listeners to her contemporary country edge and helped earn radio airplay and music video syndication nationwide. More recent releases have leaned into themes of faith, gratitude, friendship and community, demonstrating an evolving songwriting style while remaining rooted in country music traditions.
“Every Girl Needs a Bestie” debuted in the top 10 in the United Kingdom during its first week of release and continues to climb international charts, introducing Renee’s music to an expanding audience overseas.
On stage, Renee combines emotional ballads with upbeat country anthems and crowd-pleasing favorites. Her performances often include a mix of original music, contemporary country hits and select throwback favorites, creating a setlist designed to appeal to a wide range of music fans.
That versatility has helped her build a career that includes appearances at clubs, theaters, fairs, festivals and major concert events. She has performed at KNCI’s Country in the Park alongside artists including Lady A and Maddie & Tae, opened for multi-platinum artist Uncle Kracker and Broken Bow Records recording artist Chase Bryant, and appeared at respected venues such as the Harris Center for the Arts.
Her growing resume also includes performances at many of Northern California’s leading resort and casino destinations, including Red Hawk Resort Casino, Sky River Casino, Black Oak Casino Resort, Gold Country Casino and Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento, helping establish a loyal regional fan base.
Beyond the accolades and chart success, songwriting remains at the center of Renee’s career. That focus was recognized nationally when she was selected as one of only 10 singer-songwriters from across the country to perform at the New York Encounter showcase in Manhattan, an honor that highlighted the craftsmanship behind her music.
The May 30 performance at the Folsom Hotel Saloon offers local audiences an opportunity to see that songwriting and artistry up close in one of Historic Folsom’s most intimate live music settings.
Joining Renee for the evening will be her band, featuring lead guitarist Greg Williams, acoustic guitarist and vocalist Jeff Brzozowski, bassist Jeff Vita and drummer Marshall Goins.
Located at 703 Sutter Street in Historic Folsom, the Folsom Hotel Saloon has become a popular destination for touring country, Americana, bluegrass and roots artists, bringing nationally recognized performers and emerging talent to the heart of the city while preserving the character of one of Folsom’s most historic landmarks.
Doors for the Cynthia Renee performance open at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 30, with music beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets are available through the Folsom Hotel Saloon at www.folsomhotelsaloon.com.
