That ’90s Band, Femme Flanelle, Todd Morgan, Night Fever and the Carmen Ratti Band featuring Jill Dineen headline packed holiday weekend lineup in Historic Folsom
Memorial Day weekend is set to bring packed dance floors, nonstop live music and a wave of nostalgia to Historic Folsom as Powerhouse Pub rolls out another full three-day entertainment lineup spanning grunge-era rock, disco anthems, soul-infused blues and high-energy nightlife.
As visitors fill the Historic District for the holiday weekend, Powerhouse once again positions itself at the center of Folsom’s nightlife scene with a lineup that moves from ’90s alternative rock throwbacks and female-fronted grunge tributes to disco dance parties and award-winning blues performances.
Friday, May 22 begins with the TGIF Early Show featuring That ’90s Band at 6:30 p.m., bringing audiences straight back to the era of flannel, alternative rock radio and MTV countdowns. Based in the Sacramento region, the band recreates the sound and energy of the 1990s with a crowd-driven setlist packed with music from Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Blink-182, Foo Fighters, Green Day and Stone Temple Pilots.
Known for turning every performance into a sing-along celebration of the decade, the group combines nostalgia with a polished live show that captures the spirit of the era while keeping the energy high from start to finish. Their performances have become increasingly popular throughout the Sacramento region at festivals, breweries, city events and nightlife venues where crowds embrace the throwback atmosphere and familiar anthems.
The Friday night nostalgia continues at 10 p.m. as Femme Flanelle takes over the Powerhouse stage with a tribute dedicated to the women who helped redefine rock music during the 1990s. Featuring music inspired by artists like Alanis Morissette, No Doubt, Garbage, Hole, Fiona Apple and The Cranberries, the Northern California-based band channels the grit, emotion and unapologetic attitude that made female-fronted alternative rock one of the decade’s defining sounds.
Built around crunchy guitar riffs, emotionally charged vocals and full-throttle energy, Femme Flanelle delivers a performance rooted in authenticity and nostalgia while celebrating the artists who brought vulnerability, confidence and rebellion to mainstream rock. Their performances tap into an era before streaming and social media, when discovering music meant flipping through CD racks, making mixtapes and blasting songs with the windows down on late-night drives.
Saturday, May 23 shifts into a broader mix of musical styles with the Saturday Afternoon Dance Party featuring Todd Morgan at 3 p.m. A veteran performer known throughout California and Nevada, Morgan blends pop, rock, soul, blues, funk, jazz, country and early rock ’n’ roll into one wide-ranging live show fueled by musicianship and stage charisma.
Whether behind the piano, guitar or drums, Morgan has built a reputation as a versatile entertainer capable of moving seamlessly between genres while keeping audiences engaged through crowd interaction and nonstop energy. His performances with Todd Morgan & The Emblems, along with his solo appearances across the western United States and Canada, have earned him a loyal following throughout the region.
Saturday night then transforms Powerhouse into a glitter-filled disco dance party as Night Fever takes over at 10 p.m. Performed by Adam Aldama & The Aces, the production brings the sounds of KC & The Sunshine Band, Donna Summer, Chic, ABBA, Barry White, Rod Stewart, Village People and The Bee Gees back to life with choreography, polished musicianship and nonstop dance-floor energy.
Known throughout Northern California for their themed productions and high-energy stage shows, Adam Aldama & The Aces have become a staple of the regional entertainment scene with tribute experiences centered around artists like Bruno Mars, Prince and Michael Jackson, along with themed productions built around disco and early-2000s hits. Night Fever combines those elements into a late-night party atmosphere designed to keep the venue moving well into the night.
The weekend concludes Sunday, May 24 with the Powerhouse of Blues series featuring the Carmen Ratti Band featuring Jill Dineen at 3 p.m. Recently signed to Momojo Records, the band continues building momentum throughout the Northern California blues scene with a soulful sound rooted in heartfelt songwriting, groove-heavy rhythms and electrifying live performances.
Winners of the 2023 Golden Gate Blues Society International Blues Challenge, the group blends Jill Dineen’s powerful vocals with Carmen Ratti’s searing guitar work and a rhythm section that balances traditional blues roots with a modern edge. Their performances combine original music and reimagined classics into a sound that is soulful, emotional and deeply energetic.
Formed in 2018, the band released its debut album, The Road Back, in 2021 at the legendary Greaseland Studios under acclaimed producer Kid Andersen. More recently, the group completed a second album of original music titled Come to Me, released earlier this month following additional recording sessions at Greaseland alongside some of the Bay Area’s top musicians.
