EL DORADO HILLS — The El Dorado Hills Chamber of Commerce has announced it has awarded three scholarships of $1,000 each to local high school graduates who will continue their education at a college, university or technical school.
Scholarship recipients were selected by a committee of four local leaders. Each application was evaluated using a points-based system: 50% for community service, 15% for work experience, 15% for extracurricular activities, 10% for GPA and 10% for financial need.
This year, the Chamber shared that they received 24 impressive applications from highly qualified students.
One scholarship was generously funded by Pacific Interstate Insurance Brokers, with the others made possible by proceeds from Chamber events, including the silent auction portion of the Chamber’s annual Installation and Business Awards Dinner.
On May 14, 2026, El Dorado County Superintendent of Schools and Chairman of the Chamber’s Board of Directors Dr. Ed Manansala presented the 2026 EDH Chamber of Commerce Scholarships to three Oak Ridge High School seniors: Joaquin Hudgens, Joleen Berindei and Abigail Palmer.
“We are honored to support students who have already shown what it means to lead with purpose and serve their community. These scholarships are an investment in the next generation of community-minded leaders who will help shape the future of El Dorado Hills and beyond,” said Chamber President and CEO Debbie Manning.
Manning also shared that donations to the El Dorado Hills Chamber Scholarship Fund for the Class of 2027 are welcome and appreciated. Please contactchamber@eldoradohillschamber.orgto contribute.
