Drivers should expect traffic control, minor delays Thursday and Friday between Savannah Parkway and El Dorado County line

Drivers traveling through southeast Folsom should allow extra time Thursday and Friday as the City of Folsom conducts emergency roadway repairs on a stretch of White Rock Road near the El Dorado County line.

The repair work is taking place on White Rock Road between Savannah Parkway and the El Dorado County line on Thursday, June 4, and Friday, June 5. Work is scheduled daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to an advisory from Folsom police.

Traffic control will be in place throughout the work area to guide motorists safely through the repair zone while crews complete the emergency work. Vehicles will continue to be permitted through the area, but drivers should expect minor delays during construction hours.

Motorists are urged to use caution, reduce speeds and allow extra travel time when traveling through the work zone. The impacted section of White Rock Road is a heavily used route connecting Folsom, eastern Sacramento County and El Dorado County, making the repair schedule important for commuters, commercial traffic and residents traveling through the area.
