The effort to prepare a Central Business District Master Plan is continuing to move forward with its second Citizens Advisory Meeting (CAC) next week.

The next Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday, February 5. The meeting will include a bus/walking tour of the Central Business District area, beginning at 1018 Riley Street, which is the Walmart parking area.

The Central Business District Plan plan is focused on identifying a comprehensive vision for the area with potential commercial, office, and housing opportunities; and additional economic development, mobility, and safety improvements that create a unique and thriving district.

The meeting will continue after the tour at the Folsom Community Center, 52 Natoma Street. A copy of the agenda can be found on the Central Business District website.

The public is encouraged to attend the CAC meeting and bus/walking tour to provide input. Bus seating for the tour is limited and will be prioritized for appointed Citizens Advisory Committee members. Most community members attending the tour portion of the meeting may need to follow the tour route independently. Wet weather may impact the tour; stay up to date on the Central Business District website. For additional information, contact Kathy Pease, AICP, Planning Consultant at Management Advisory Services, at kpease@masfirm.com.
