Chris Fredrich, a Folsom resident of over 17 years and father of two children, announced his candidacy today for Folsom Cordova Unified School District, Trustee Area 1, according to a campaign press release.
“I’m running because too many parents feel like they’re not being heard,” said Fredrich. “That has to change. We should be seeing stronger academic results, clearer communication from the district, and real attention to campus safety. Right now, we’re falling short, and families know it.”
Fredrich said his campaign will focus on improving student performance, increasing transparency with parents, and addressing ongoing concerns around school safety and overcrowding.
Chris Fredrich announces his candidacy with a large coalition of endorsements, including but not limited to current FCUSD President Jen Laret, Assemblyman and former FCUSD Board Member Josh Hoover, former Sacramento County Sheriff John McGinness, and many more to be announced in the coming weeks.
“Chris is a parent who’s paying attention and willing to step up,” said Hoover. “He understands the challenges our schools are facing and will bring a serious, intentional approach to improving safety and academics. Most importantly, he will be a strong voice for students and families in Folsom Cordova Unified.”
Trustee Area 1 contains a large portion of the city of Folsom, including historic Sutter Street, the E. Bidwell Corridor, American River Canyon, Briggs Ranch, and more.
Chris Fredrich is a father to two children and a long time Folsom resident. Chris isn’t a career politician: he’s a dad, a problem-solver, and a neighbor who’s ready to roll up his sleeves and put in the work.
