According to police, members of the department’s Special Investigations Unit received information in early April 2026 from Walmart’s Global Loss Prevention team regarding suspected internal theft at the Folsom store. Investigators reported that two employees were involved in 21 separate incidents, resulting in a confirmed loss exceeding $21,000.

Detectives initiated a follow-up investigation that included surveillance and a review of evidence. During the investigation, authorities determined that Dante Naples, 25, of Roseville, used the self-checkout area to appear as though he was scanning and paying for items before leaving the store without completing transactions. Police said Alexander Aaron-Able, 22, of Roseville, allegedly used his managerial access to disable store alarms, allowing Naples to exit without detection.

Based on the findings, detectives obtained search warrants for the suspects’ residence and vehicles. On the morning of April 16, officers contacted both individuals at Walmart while they were working. Following interviews, both were taken into custody and search warrants were served.

A search of Naples’ vehicle resulted in the recovery of $2,472.23 in new merchandise with Walmart tags, including alcohol, clothing, household items, vehicle batteries, small appliances and a 22-inch flat-top griddle. A search of the shared residence led to the recovery of hundreds of additional items, including household goods, kitchen appliances, electronics, games, clothing, bedding and outdoor equipment.

Police said a total of $28,458.23 in stolen merchandise was recovered and returned to Walmart. Due to the volume of property, a moving truck was used to transport the items.

Naples and Aaron-Able were booked into the Sacramento County Jail on multiple felony charges, including organized retail theft, embezzlement, possession of stolen property and conspiracy.
