The Folsom Police Department has welcomed four new members to its ranks, including three police officers bringing a mix of law enforcement, public safety and community experience, along with a new records technician.
Officer Christopher Moor joins the department after serving with the Sacramento County Regional Parks Department. Before his time with Regional Parks, Moor worked as a public safety dispatcher for the Roseville Police Department, giving him experience on both the communications and field sides of public safety.
Outside of work, Moor enjoys watching his children play sports, fishing, shooting and spending time with his family.
Officer Elijah Gardner joins Folsom Police after graduating from the Sacramento Police Academy in June. He will now begin the department’s field training program as he starts his law enforcement career in Folsom.
Before entering law enforcement, Gardner lived on Maui for five years and worked at Kapalua Bay, where he conducted several open-water rescues. His interests include physical training, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, camping, rock climbing and spending time with his family.
Officer Dmitriy Myrmyr also graduated from the Sacramento Police Academy in June and will begin field training with the department. Born in Moldova, Myrmyr speaks multiple Slavic languages and dialects, adding multilingual capabilities to his new role.
Before joining law enforcement, Myrmyr worked at House of Bread Christian Academy as a campus safety supervisor. Away from work, he enjoys off-roading, restoring cars, wrestling and long-distance running.
Also joining the department is Records Technician Savannah Cantelme. Cantelme previously worked as a master teacher for Learning Care Group and later served as a lead teacher for Cadence Academy Preschool.
Cantelme holds a bachelor’s degree in human development with a minor in criminal justice and played four years of collegiate soccer. She enjoys spending time outdoors, watching sports and spending time with her daughter.
The additions bring a range of backgrounds and experience to the Folsom Police Department, from emergency dispatching and open-water rescue to campus safety, education and records operations.
