Folsom Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred Wednesday night at Livermore Community Park, leaving one man hospitalized and investigators looking for more information as to what led up to the incident.

According to the Folsom Police Department, officers responded to the park at approximately 9:15 p.m. on June 24 after receiving reports of a stabbing.

When officers arrived, they located an adult male suffering from injuries consistent with the reported assault. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was treated. Police said his injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

Detectives remained on scene Wednesday night gathering evidence as the investigation continued.

As of Thursday morning, no arrests had been made. Investigators said the case remains active and ongoing.

Based on the information gathered so far, detectives believe the stabbing was an isolated incident and emphasized there is no ongoing threat to the community.
