Saturday, March 1, promises to be an all-out party with a stacked lineup. G-Ride kicks things off with their signature funk-infused sound, designed to keep the dance floor packed. Later that night, the ultimate ’80s tribute band, The Spazmatics, will take over with an energetic set of synth-heavy classics, big hair, and neon vibes.

Mardi Gras, or “Fat Tuesday,” is a centuries-old celebration with deep cultural roots in New Orleans and beyond. Traditionally marking the last day of indulgence before Lent, Mardi Gras has evolved into a lively festival known for its extravagant parades, colorful masks, and joyous revelry. The holiday’s signature colors—purple, green, and gold—symbolize justice, faith, and power, respectively.

From the grand floats of Bourbon Street to the vibrant jazz performances filling the air, Mardi Gras is a time for communities to come together in celebration. Whether you’re enjoying a traditional King Cake, collecting beads from a parade, or dancing the night away, the essence of Mardi Gras is about embracing the moment and letting the good times roll, which is phrases in New Orleans as Laissez les bons temps rouler!
