A day on the green is once again turning into a powerful investment in local youth as Folsom American Little League prepares to host its 3rd Annual Coaches Cup Golf Tournament this May at Empire Ranch Golf Club.
Following the continued success and growing support of its first two tournaments, the annual event returns with an even greater focus on community participation and fundraising to benefit one of Folsom’s most impactful youth sports organizations. Registration is now open, offering golfers of all skill levels the opportunity to enjoy a full day on the course while supporting local baseball programs.
Set against the scenic fairways of Empire Ranch, the tournament will begin with registration opening at 6:45 a.m., followed by an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Participants will compete in an 18-hole, four-person scramble format designed to keep the day fun, social and competitive for players ranging from seasoned golfers to casual participants. On-course contests including longest drive and closest to the pin challenges will add to the excitement throughout the round.
The event continues beyond the fairways with a post-round gathering featuring lunch, a silent auction, raffle prizes and additional opportunities for participants to contribute to the league’s mission. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for local businesses and community supporters looking to get involved.
The cost to participate is $175 per player or $700 per four-person team, with proceeds directly benefiting Folsom American Little League’s annual operating expenses and planned field and facility improvement projects. Organizers emphasize that the ultimate goal is to help minimize registration fee increases for local families while continuing to enhance the quality of facilities and programs available to young athletes.
Folsom American Little League has long been a cornerstone of youth sports in the community, providing opportunities for children to develop skills, build friendships and learn the values of teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship. Through volunteer support, local partnerships and fundraising efforts like the Coaches Cup, the league continues to grow while maintaining accessibility for families across the region.
The Coaches Cup has quickly become more than just a golf tournament. It serves as a community gathering that brings together parents, coaches, business leaders and residents who share a commitment to supporting youth athletics in Folsom. With each year, participation has expanded, reflecting the strong connection between the league and the community it serves.
