Free line dance lessons and live music kick off four straight days of entertainment in Historic Folsom

Boots will be on the dance floor Thursday night as Gotcha Country takes the stage for Country Thursdays at Powerhouse Pub, launching a four-day stretch of live entertainment in Historic Folsom.

The March 5 event begins with free line dance lessons at 7 p.m., followed by live music at 8 p.m., continuing Powerhouse Entertainment’s weekly tradition of pairing instruction and high-energy country favorites in a dance-forward setting. Admission is free, and seating is first come, first served.

Rooted in the Central Valley, Gotcha Country is part of the Gotcha Covered Music family and has become one of the region’s most consistent and versatile modern country cover bands. The group specializes in hits spanning the 1990s through today, blending nostalgic favorites with contemporary country chart-toppers in a way that keeps both line dancers and two-steppers moving throughout the night.

Known for polished harmonies and upbeat delivery, the band structures its sets around crowd engagement, creating an atmosphere built for singalongs and packed dance floors. Their mix of modern country energy and familiar classics has made them a fixture at country venues across Northern California.

Thursday’s Country Thursday event at Powerhouse is designed to welcome dancers of all levels, with early lessons giving newcomers and regulars alike a chance to learn steps before the live band takes over.

The entertainment continues Friday, March 6, whenThe Morgan Wallen Experienceheadlines the TGIF Early Show at 7 p.m. The tribute production delivers the songs and sound of one of country music’s most dominant current stars, performing hits from “Whiskey Glasses” to “I’m the Problem.” The show focuses on the heart, power and feel of the music, supported by seasoned musicians with major-label experience (see related Folsom Times story on this show.)

Later Friday night, the venue shifts into party mode withBlackout Fridaysbeginning at 10 p.m. The late-night event features three DJs, drink specials and five full bars operating inside Scarlet’s and Powerhouse. Big Rob’s Cigar & Hookah Cabana offers a separate lounge experience, while VIP and bottle service provide options for groups looking to reserve space for the night.

Saturday night transitions into throwback mode withAdam Aldama & The AcesheadliningThrowback Hip Hop & R&B Nightat 10 p.m. The show centers on 90s and early 2000s hits, from “California Love,” “Regulate,” and “Return of the Mack” to “In Da Club,” “E.I.” and “Blow the Whistle,” bringing a live band production to songs once heard on 102.5 KSFM and 130.5 The BOMB.

The weekend concludes Sunday, March 8 withPowerhouse of BluesfeaturingMitch Woodsat 3 p.m. Woods and His Rocket 88s have spent more than three decades carrying forward the tradition of jump blues and early rock ‘n’ roll. Inspired by the late 1940s and early 1950s jump n’ boogie era, Woods blends New Orleans rhythm and blues, piano-driven energy and contemporary flair into the sound he calls “rock-a-boogie.”
