Sierra Oak Farms to oversee year-round Saturday market in Historic Folsom Plaza
The Folsom Historic District Association (FHDA) has announced that management of the Historic Folsom Farmers Market will transition to Sierra Oak Farms, LLC this month. The first market under new management is set to take place Saturday, June 13 with no interruption to the event.
Sierra Oak Farms, LLC is owned and operated by local farmer Corbett Schnatmeyer, who will oversee all aspects of market operations including vendor coordination, staffing, marketing, entertainment, and day-to-day management of the year-round Saturday market held in Historic Folsom.
The Historic Folsom Farmers Market has served the community for more than 13 years and remains one of the region’s most beloved weekly gathering places. FHDA’s Board of Directors selected Sierra Oak Farms following a competitive proposal process, with a strong focus on preserving and strengthening the market’s agriculture-first mission.
According to the announcement, FHDA’s goal is to continue building a vibrant, producer-focused market that supports local farms, small businesses, and the community experience that Historic Folsom is known for.
Under the new management agreement, the market will continue operating year-round on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the Historic Folsom Plaza area. The agreement includes continued support for local farms, live music during market hours, community engagement activities, enhanced operational oversight, and ongoing plaza maintenance.
The market will maintain an agriculture-first focus while continuing to feature artisan goods, prepared foods, and community-based vendors in a balanced and curated environment.
