The free community event will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Historic Murer House and Gardens, located at 1125 Joe Murer Court in Folsom, inviting visitors to spend the day surrounded by blooming gardens, local vendors, educational speakers and lavender-inspired experiences.

Known as one of the Murer House Foundation’s most popular seasonal gatherings, Lavender Day transforms the property into a colorful outdoor marketplace filled with handcrafted goods, home décor, scents, gifts and specialty products centered around the versatile and fragrant flower. Organizers say guests can expect everything from candles, honey and natural products to clothing, purses, crafts and unique lavender-themed items from local vendors.

Greg Gayton of Green Acres Nursery & Supply is scheduled to speak at 10 a.m. alongside Christine Eschen of Tres Jolie Lavender Farm, sharing information on lavender varieties, gardening techniques and tips for growing the plant successfully at home.

At 11:30 a.m., beekeeper Tim Dick will take center stage to discuss bees, pollination and the importance of honeybees in local gardens and agriculture.

In addition to the educational presentations, visitors will be able to enjoy lavender lemonade, browse raffle baskets and enter drawings for plants and lavender-themed gifts throughout the day.

The event also offers attendees a chance to experience the Historic Murer House itself, a longtime Folsom landmark that serves as the home of the Murer House Foundation and its efforts to preserve Italian heritage, culture and community traditions in the region.
