This summer has been one of Folsom’s busiest yet, with milestones in tourism, healthcare, hospitality and business recognition all taking place within a matter of weeks. Here are some of the highlights.
Folsom Pro Rodeo Celebrates 65 Years: This year’s Folsom Pro Rodeo marked its 65th anniversary, and the Folsom community once again showed up in force.
The event brought together the spirit of the Fourth of July, our nation’s 250th anniversary and the heart of our community. Families created new memories while volunteers, sponsors, performers and the Choose Folsom team helped make the event another success.
Special thanks went to presenting sponsors Bonney Plumbing, Electrical, Heating & Air, Coors and Folsom Auto Mall, along with fireworks sponsor Sutter Health.
Dignity Health Reaches Construction Milestone: Last week marked a significant milestone for healthcare in the community as Dignity Health California celebrated the topping out ceremony for the new Dignity Health Folsom Health Complex, signifying completion of the building’s highest structural point.
The new health complex is anticipated to open in fall 2027, expanding access to healthcare services for Folsom and the surrounding region.
Congratulations to Dignity Health and the many partners, contractors and teams who helped make this milestone possible.
AC Hotel by Marriott Opens at Palladio: Folsom’s newest hotel officially opened last month at Palladio.
The AC Hotel by Marriott features 130 guest rooms, a restaurant, bar, meeting space and outdoor gathering areas. The property also includes eight furnished luxury loft-style suites designed for extended-stay corporate guests.
The additional 130 hotel rooms represent expanded lodging capacity for Folsom and reflect continued investment in the city’s growing appeal as a destination for business travelers, employees and visitors.
PowerSchool Earns National Recognition: Folsom-based education technology company PowerSchool recently received the Tech & Learning Best of Show Award at ISTELive 2026 in the Secondary Education category.
The Best of Show Awards recognize organizations transforming education in schools around the world, making the honor a notable achievement.
It marks the second consecutive year PowerSchool has earned a Best of Show Award after receiving the 2025 recognition for its Attendance Intervention Solution.
Making Business Work Returns Aug. 20: Choose Folsom will host its next Making Business Work program on Aug. 20.
The educational series provides an opportunity for attendees to learn about the organizations that comprise Choose Folsom while receiving updates on the latest programs, accomplishments and opportunities from Choose Folsom, the Folsom Chamber of Commerce and Visit Folsom. Save the Date for the Foothill Wine Fest: One of Folsom’s signature annual events returns Oct. 24, when the 2026 Foothill Wine Fest takes place from 2 to 6 p.m. at Palladio.
The event celebrates the award-winning wines of the Sierra Foothills, bringing together more than 50 wineries to showcase a wide variety of wines and varietals. Tickets will be available soon.
From continued investment in hospitality to recognition for local businesses and educational innovation, Folsom’s momentum has continued throughout the summer. Community leaders say those accomplishments reflect the ongoing investment of businesses, organizations and residents who continue to support the city’s future.
