The window to be part of one of Folsom’s fastest-growing community fundraisers is closing quickly, as only a handful of spots remain for Folsom American Little League’s 3rd Annual Coaches Cup Golf Tournament at Empire Ranch Golf Club.

Set for Monday, May 18, the tournament has built steady momentum in just three years, evolving from a successful debut into a highly anticipated annual event that brings together local golfers, businesses and families for a day centered on community, camaraderie and giving back. With the field nearing capacity, organizers are encouraging golfers to act now to secure one of the remaining openings before registration officially closes.

The Coaches Cup is more than just a round of golf—it is a direct investment in the future of youth baseball in Folsom. Every registration helps fund Folsom American Little League’s annual operating costs, ongoing field maintenance and critical facility improvements, all while helping the league continue its mission of keeping participation accessible and affordable for local families.

That mission has long been at the heart of Folsom American Little League, a program that has served generations of players by providing not only a place to compete, but a place to learn the values of teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship. Supported by dedicated volunteers, coaches and community partners, the league continues to grow alongside the city it serves, with fundraising events like the Coaches Cup playing a key role in sustaining that growth.

Tournament day will begin with check-in opening at 6:45 a.m., followed by an 8 a.m. shotgun start on the scenic Empire Ranch course. Players will compete in an 18-hole, four-person scramble format designed to be both welcoming and competitive, allowing golfers of all skill levels to take part. Whether chasing a low score or simply enjoying a day on the course, participants can expect a relaxed and engaging atmosphere throughout the event.

Along the way, golfers will have opportunities to take part in on-course contests such as longest drive and closest to the pin, adding an extra layer of fun and friendly competition. After the final putts drop, the day continues with a post-round gathering that includes lunch, awards, raffle prizes and a silent auction, giving participants even more ways to connect and contribute to the cause.

Entry is $175 per player or $700 per four-person team, with all proceeds staying local and directly benefiting the league’s programs and facilities. For many families, those efforts translate into more opportunities for children to step onto the field, build confidence and create lasting memories through the game of baseball.

As the final team spots fill, organizers emphasize that this is truly a last chance for those who have been considering participating. The strong response from the community has once again demonstrated the level of support behind Folsom American Little League and its mission, and this year’s tournament is on pace to be its most successful yet.

With limited space remaining and a meaningful cause at the heart of the event, the Coaches Cup offers one more opportunity this spring to enjoy a day on the course while making a lasting impact on the next generation of local athletes.
