Live music returns to the Zittel Family Amphitheater this Saturday as Mere Mortals take the stage for the latest installment of the Rotary Spring Concert Series, delivering a high-energy night of classic hits in the heart of Historic Folsom.
The free community concert is scheduled from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., continuing the seasonal lineup presented by Folsom Rotary that has drawn crowds for evenings of music, dancing and community connection throughout the spring.
Mere Mortals, a Sacramento-area band with more than two decades of experience, is known for its energetic blend of classic rock spanning the 1960s through the 1990s, mixed with blues-rock, R&B favorites and rockin’ oldies. Performing throughout the region since 2001, the group has built a reputation for delivering crowd-pleasing sets that keep audiences engaged from the first song to the last.
With a song list exceeding 100 selections, the band tailors each performance to match the crowd and venue, allowing them to move seamlessly from iconic rock anthems to soulful grooves and upbeat classics. The result is a lively, dance-driven atmosphere that transforms any setting into a full-on party, making them a natural fit for a spring evening at the amphitheater.
The four-piece group features an eclectic mix of talent and experience, combining tight musicianship with a versatile repertoire that appeals to multiple generations of music fans. Whether leaning into guitar-driven rock staples or shifting into rhythm-heavy R&B and blues-influenced tracks, Mere Mortals consistently deliver a performance designed to keep the dance floor active.
Presented by Folsom Rotary, the Spring Concert Series offers free, family-friendly entertainment in one of the city’s most popular outdoor venues and serves as a spring lead-in to the broader summer concert season in Historic Folsom.
Saturday’s concert invites attendees to bring lawn chairs or blankets, grab dinner from nearby restaurants and enjoy an evening of live music under the open sky. Admission is free and open to all ages.
The Rotary Spring Concert Series concludes May 9 with G-Ride, bringing a final night of funk and disco to close out the season at the Zittel Family Amphitheater.
