HellHeart, Trachea, FRΛXURES and Mythnautica bring the Hell & High Water Tour to Orangevale
Aggressive riffs, crushing breakdowns and emotionally charged metal take center stage this weekend at The Boardwalk as the Hell & High Water Tour rolls into Orangevale. The full night features HellHeart, Trachea, FRΛXURES and Mythnautica for a night built around modern heavy music and hardcore intensity.
The all-ages show begins at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 30 at The Boardwalk, continuing the venue’s long-running role as one of the Sacramento region’s most active destinations for underground metal, hardcore and hard rock touring acts.
Headlining the lineup is HellHeart, the Central Valley metal band that has steadily built momentum since forming in 2017. Blending melodic metal influences with hardcore aggression, the group has developed a reputation for emotionally driven performances layered with intricate guitar work, punishing rhythms and explosive live energy.
Drawing heavily from both modern metalcore and classic hardcore influences, HellHeart’s sound balances melody and brutality while pushing into darker emotional territory. The band continues carving out its place in California’s heavy music scene through relentless live performances and an evolving sound rooted in intensity and atmosphere.
Also taking the stage is Trachea, the Yuba City sludge and doom metal band representing Northern California’s “Dirty Five Thirty” underground scene. Originally formed as a punk project, the band gradually evolved into a heavier and more punishing sound inspired by New Orleans sludge metal and hardcore punk.

Known for raw aggression, groove-heavy riffs and uncompromising intensity, Trachea delivers performances designed to feel loud, dirty and unapologetically heavy. The band is also preparing to release new singles including “Dirt Church” and “I Am God” as it continues expanding its catalog.
The lineup also features Southern California metal act FRΛXURES, a five-piece band formed by musicians connected to groups including Divine Heresy, Powerflo, BillyBio, The Bloodline and A Hero Within.
Built from a collective background in heavy touring and metal performance, FRΛXURES combines modern heaviness with aggressive rhythms, technical musicianship and polished production. Their sound blends classic metal energy with contemporary influences while maintaining the intensity longtime heavy music fans expect from veteran performers.
Rounding out the night is Mythnautica, a Northern California progressive metalcore band blending technical precision with atmospheric soundscapes and emotionally driven songwriting.
Influenced by bands such as ERRA, Counterparts, Thrown and No Home, Mythnautica combines brutal vocals, layered melodies and intricate riffs into a cinematic metalcore sound designed to balance heaviness with mood and atmosphere. The band is currently working on its debut EP, “Orb Waver.”

Saturday’s lineup is expected to deliver a full spectrum of heavy music styles ranging from melodic metalcore and sludge metal to hardcore-driven aggression and progressive atmosphere, giving fans of modern heavy music a packed night of live performances.
Located at 9426 Greenback Lane in Orangevale, The Boardwalk remains one of the region’s most recognizable venues for live rock, metal and touring independent acts.
The show begins at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 30. All shows are all ages, though anyone under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All ticket sales are final. Tickets and additional event details are available atwww.rocktheboardwalk.com.
