A Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District captain was recognized this week for his service and dedication to the community during a regional awards ceremony honoring local leaders and professionals.

The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District announced that Captain Terrence Manley has been named its Suppression Member of the Year, an honor presented during the 68th Annual Community Awards Dinner hosted by the Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce.

The recognition highlights Manley’s contributions to frontline fire service operations and his commitment to protecting the communities served by the district.

Metro Fire officials shared the news following the ceremony, noting that several members of the department’s leadership team were in attendance to celebrate the honor. Among those present were Fire Chief Adam House, Deputy Chief Tyler Wagaman, Assistant Chief Joe Aldrich and Chaplain Kevin Snider.
