Manteca driver makes last-lap move to win by just .038 seconds as All American Speedway crowns four NASCAR weekly champions on Championship and Hall of Fame Night

Ethan Nascimento waited until the final lap to make his move Saturday night, then won a side-by-side drag race to the checkered flag to capture the NAPA Auto Parts 150 in a thrilling finish at All American Speedway.

The Manteca driver stormed past 2025 ARCA Menards Series West champion Trevor Huddleston in the closing corners, prevailing by just .038 seconds in the 150-lap feature. The ARCA West showdown headlined a packed Championship Night that also included Hall of Fame Night ceremonies and the crowning of champions in All American Speedway’s NASCAR weekly divisions.

“We usually don’t get the call to race a lot. It was a super fun race. We started in the back after having clutch issues after qualifying. I knew we had a really fast piece,” Nascimento said. “Sorry for what I did to Trevor but I knew he would have done the same to try to get a win.”

Nascimento said the decisive move was about getting Huddleston just far enough out of position to pull alongside him.

“I got him just enough sideways so I was door to door with him going into three and then we drag raced out of turn four,” he said.

Mississippi teenager Cole Denton led time trials and started from the pole, but La Center, Washington’s Eric Johnson Jr. used the outside line to grab the lead on the opening lap.

The first caution came on lap 11 when Madera’s Joey Iest spun. Trouble returned on lap 27 when Gavin Ray spun in turn two with a flat left-rear tire, triggering an incident that resulted in race-ending damage for rookie Mia Lovell.

Denton reclaimed the lead after the restart as Johnson began sliding backward through the field. Behind him, Huddleston and Hailie Deegan battled side-by-side for several laps for second before Huddleston completed the pass on lap 42.

Huddleston then closed on Denton and used the bumper to take the lead on lap 52.

Traffic brought another twist to the race. As Huddleston encountered lapped cars, Denton erased the gap and reclaimed the top spot on lap 82. Huddleston responded almost immediately, making a three-wide move through traffic to regain the lead by lap 84.

Another caution followed on lap 85 when 2026 All American Speedway Berco Redwood Late Model champion Kenna Mitchell and Pasadena’s Andrew Chapman collided in turn three.

Denton lost ground on the restart and fell to fifth, while Nascimento suddenly found himself in position to challenge for the victory. He moved into second ahead of Deegan and began setting his sights on Huddleston.

A late spin by Idaho’s Ian Wood produced a five-lap shootout for the win.

Nascimento went to work on Huddleston in turns one and two, pushing him higher on the track, but Huddleston used the outside line to hold onto the lead. Nascimento stayed close enough to get another opportunity.

It came on the final lap.

Entering turn one, Nascimento nudged Huddleston through turns one and two and pulled alongside. Neither driver gave way as they raced through the final corners and charged toward the checkered flag.

Nascimento reached it first by a nose, taking the NAPA Auto Parts 150 by .038 seconds.

Deegan finished third, followed by 2025 Roseville race winner Robbie Kennealy in fourth. Wyoming driver Will Robinson capitalized on the final restart to charge into fifth.

The ARCA thriller capped a night that also settled championships throughout All American Speedway’s NASCAR weekly racing program.

Mitchell won her 11th NASCAR Berco Redwood Late Model feature of the season and completed her third consecutive championship in the division. She was presented the championship by fellow three-time consecutive champion Matt Scott during the Hall of Fame Night ceremonies.

Madera’s Joey Kennealy, who led early in the race, finished second. The result was enough to move Kennealy into a tie for second in the standings with Auburn’s Colton Nelson, with Kennealy unofficially earning the position through the tiebreaker.

In the NASCAR Modified feature, Jarred Hess made a charge from the back of the field to the lead on the opening lap and stayed there for the remainder of the 30-lap race. Multi-time Street Stock champion Andrew Peeler finished second, while Jose Hernandez took third and completed his championship season. Four-time champion Jim Miller presented Hernandez with his title.

Josh Whitfield methodically worked his way forward from ninth on the starting grid to win the NASCAR Street Stock feature. Whitfield took the lead from Richard Lavallee on lap 17 and controlled the final 13 circuits.

Lavallee finished second and 2026 champion Tim Walters crossed the line third. Lavallee later presented Walters with his championship in victory lane. Chase Grigsby finished fourth in his first Roseville start in several seasons, while Sam Reynolds rounded out the top five.

The NASCAR Mini Stocks championship went all the way to the final race and ultimately came down to a single point.

Vic Theberge overcame a 10-car invert to win the season finale, while Ray Molina fought his way to a third-place finish to secure the championship by just one point over Theberge.

Theberge and 2025 champion John Sproule started together in the fifth row and worked their way through the field. Theberge took the lead from Molina on lap 16 and never relinquished it. Sproule finished second, while Molina held off a strong challenge from returning driver Blake Disomma to secure third and the title. Manteca’s Josh Cross finished fifth.

Three-time track champion Brian Macomber presented Molina with his championship.

All American Speedway will celebrate its 2026 champions Sunday afternoon, Sept. 6. The Roseville track’s 2026 season concludes Oct. 24 with the Monster Truck Bash.

All American Speedway thanked Roseville Toyota, JM Environmental, Berco Redwood, NAPA Auto Parts, Sinister Diesel, A-All Mini Storage, Bob Jahn’s Roofing, Pape Material Handling, Atlas Disposal, West Coast Stock Car/Motorsports Hall of Fame and Hoosier Tire for supporting the 2026 racing season.
