One of Folsom’s newest dining additions is ready to open, as Yard House is set to officially welcome guests at Palladio on Sunday, February 8, giving the shopping and entertainment center a new restaurant option just in time for Super Bowl Sunday.

Located at 350 Palladio Parkway, the new restaurant occupies approximately 14,000 square feet in a prominent space at the Palladio shopping center that previously housed Forever 21 and, more recently, Stichic. The transformation from retail storefront to full-scale restaurant has been months in the making, with crews completing extensive interior buildout, kitchen installation, bar construction and final design elements in recent weeks.

As construction wrapped up, Yard House management shifted its focus toward staffing and training, assembling and preparing a full team ahead of the opening. The restaurant is expected to offer lunch, dinner and late-night dining, with an atmosphere designed to accommodate everything from casual meals to high-energy game-day crowds.

Founded in 1996 in Long Beach, California, Yard House was built around a concept of pairing chef-driven American cuisine with an unusually large and technically advanced draft beer system. The brand takes its name from a colonial-era tradition of serving beer in 36-inch “yard” glasses, a nod that still reflects its beer-centered identity today.

Yard House has grown into a national restaurant brand with nearly 90 locations across the United States. In 2012, the company was acquired for $585 million by Darden Restaurants, the Orlando-based hospitality company that also owns Olive Garden and Ruth’s Chris Steak House.

The restaurant is widely known for its expansive draft beer offerings, with more than 100 beers on tap at many locations, supported by complex cooling systems designed to keep beer consistently fresh from keg to glass. The menu features a wide range of American fusion dishes, including burgers, sandwiches, steaks, seafood, salads and shareable appetizers, along with several plant-based options.

The Folsom location becomes the third Yard House restaurant in the greater Sacramento region, joining existing sites at Sacramento’s Downtown Commons and The Fountains at Roseville. An additional Yard House location is also planned in Elk Grove.

Yard House’s opening adds to Palladio’s continued growth as a retail, dining and entertainment destination. In recent months, several nationally recognized brands have opened at the center, including Shake Shack, LOFT, Oz Korean BBQ and Devons Jewelers, expanding the center’s mix of restaurants and specialty retailers.

The timing of the opening places Yard House among the newest dining options available during one of the busiest weekends of the year for restaurants. With Super Bowl Sunday traditionally driving large gatherings and social dining, the restaurant adds another venue for residents looking to dine out, gather with friends or watch the game.

An official grand opening celebration has not been announced, but the restaurant is expected to begin regular service when doors open Sunday.
