FOLSOM — A full-scale Cinco de Mayo weekend celebration is set to take over Historic Folsom as Powerhouse Pub rolls out three days of live music, DJs and high-energy nightlife, kickstarted Friday night by a powerful tribute to two of rock’s most iconic voices before rolling into a stacked lineup of bands, themed shows and a Sunday blues finale.
The weekend begins Friday, May 1 with the TGIF Early Show featuring No Reason To Cry at 6:30 p.m., bringing a powerhouse tribute to Eric Clapton and Linda Ronstadt to the Powerhouse stage. Fueled by the hard-driving rock ’n’ roll that defined the 1970s and ’80s, the band delivers a performance rooted in raw emotion, soaring vocals and signature guitar work.
From Clapton’s unmistakable riffs on songs like Crossroads, Cocaine and After Midnight to Ronstadt’s commanding presence on hits such as You’re No Good, Poor Poor Pitiful Me and Heat Wave, the show recreates the sound and spirit of two artists who shaped a generation.
Backed by a lineup of seasoned musicians, No Reason To Cry blends blues, rock and soul into a performance that captures the energy of an era when amplifiers roared and every chorus carried weight. Saturday, May 2 continues the momentum with the Saturday Afternoon Dance Party as Wasted Space takes the stage at 3 p.m., bringing audiences back to the heart and soul of classic rock. Drawing from legendary artists including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Janis Joplin and Jefferson Airplane, while mixing in favorites from Fleetwood Mac, Lynyrd Skynyrd, John Mellencamp and the Eagles, the band delivers a harmony-driven performance built around timeless songs that keep crowds singing and dancing.
The evening shifts to a country-driven showcase as The Morgan Wallen Experience takes over at 7 p.m., delivering a high-energy tribute to one of modern country music’s biggest stars. Featuring a set packed with hits like Whiskey Glasses and I’m the Problem, the performance captures the sound, feel and emotional connection of the music, offering fans an authentic live experience centered on the songs that have defined Wallen’s rise.
Saturday night then evolves into a full Cinco de Mayo party as Adam Aldama & The Aces take the stage at 10 p.m., bringing a dance-driven performance designed to keep the energy high well into the night. Known for their versatility and polished stage presence, the band delivers a wide-ranging mix of hits that keeps the dance floor packed.

The weekend concludes Sunday, May 3 with the Powerhouse of Blues series at 3 p.m., featuring Guitarsonists with Mighty Mike Schermer, a guitarist, singer and songwriter widely respected within the blues community.
