Free outdoor concert is second of four of popular summer series at Lions Park
The City of Folsom’s Summer of Music series continues Friday evening as Power Play takes the stage at Lions Park, bringing an energetic mix of dance hits, classic rock, country and pop to the second concert of the season.
The free concert takes place from 7 to 9 p.m. at Lions Park, 403 Stafford Street, where families and music lovers are invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy an evening of live entertainment on the park’s spacious lawn. Food trucks will also be on site throughout the event.
Following the season-opening performance by In Kahootz earlier this month, Friday’s concert shifts gears with one of Northern California’s most versatile live bands.
Power Play has built a reputation for its fearless approach to live entertainment, moving effortlessly across musical genres and decades in a single performance. A typical setlist may jump from Lady Gaga to Johnny Cash to Eminem before transitioning into classic rock favorites, modern country hits and today’s dance music. The Summer of Music series has become a favorite summertime tradition in Folsom, offering residents and visitors an opportunity to enjoy free live entertainment in a relaxed outdoor setting. The concerts provide plenty of open space for families, children and groups of friends to spread out and enjoy an evening of music beneath the summer sky.
Two concerts remain in this year’s series following Friday’s performance. Night Owls will bring a lineup of Top 40 favorites to Lions Park on July 10, followed by rock band Inverness95, which closes out the series on July 24.
Admission to all Summer of Music concerts is free.
