Community wide voting to determine who is the best begins April 1 for everyone registered at bestoffolsom.com
After a wildly successful inaugural year that saw thousands of votes cast across hundreds of categories, Folsom Times has opened the registration and nomination period for the 2026 Best of Times Awards, giving local businesses the opportunity to secure their place on this year’s ballot before voting begins April 6.
Businesses, organizations and more across Folsom and the surrounding region are encouraged to register their business or verify their listing information by visiting the official registration page now live at www.bestoffolsom.com.
Community members can also nominate their favorite businesses during the current nomination period, helping determine which companies will ultimately appear on the final ballot.
The Best of Times Awards were launched by Folsom Times to celebrate the people, businesses and organizations that make the community thrive. The inaugural 2025 awards quickly became a major community event, generating strong participation from both businesses and readers as thousands of votes poured in across more than 200 categories recognizing everything from restaurants and retail shops to professional services, entertainment venues and local attractions.
The nomination and registration period plays a key role in the awards process. Doing so ensures eligible businesses and organizations appear correctly in the categories where they belong when the official ballot launches. Early registration also helps confirm accurate business information and category placement before voting begins.
Residents can participate by nominating the businesses they love most in the community, helping ensure that local favorites earn a place on the final ballot. Once nominations close, the official voting round will open April 6, when the community will once again decide which businesses will take home the 2026 Best of Times titles.
Last year’s awards celebrated dozens of winners and top finishers across a wide range of categories, highlighting the strength and diversity of the Folsom area’s local business community. The program also introduced a new platform where residents could actively support their favorite businesses and help spotlight the companies that provide outstanding service throughout the region.
