Atmospheric indie-rock band blends Americana roots with modern sound during Historic Folsom performance
Fans of indie rock, Americana and thoughtful songwriting will have an opportunity to experience one of the genre’s emerging acts when seeTrees makes a tour stop at the Historic Folsom Hotel Saloon on Saturday, Aug. 8.
Formed in 2024, seeTrees has quickly developed a following with a sound that blends Americana storytelling, indie rock textures and expansive atmospheric production. Led by acclaimed songwriter Drew Lawrence, formerly of the Americana group The Dales, and Los Angeles-based drummer and producer Luke Adams, the band draws inspiration from artists including Tom Petty, Wilco, The War on Drugs, George Harrison and Jackson Browne.
The result is music that feels both nostalgic and contemporary, pairing heartfelt songwriting with shimmering guitars, analog synthesizers and driving rhythms.
Their debut album, Greater Than The Past, introduced listeners to the band’s signature style through songs built around themes of optimism, vulnerability and fresh beginnings. Produced by Adams, the record combines folk, arena rock, indie and singer-songwriter influences into a cinematic listening experience highlighted by tracks including “Dashboard Lights” and “Love It Out.”
The band’s momentum has continued into 2026 with a series of new singles leading toward a sophomore album. Songs including “Break in the Light,” “Easy Times,” “Lights Out in the City,” “Relivin’ It,” and “Beaches of Malibu” have helped establish seeTrees as an emerging name in the indie-Americana scene.
Lawrence brings an accomplished songwriting background to the project, having previously co-written Christina Perri’s multi-platinum hit “Jar of Hearts.” Alongside Adams’ production and contributions from accomplished touring musicians, seeTrees has developed a sound that balances intimate storytelling with expansive musical arrangements.
Adding to the band’s growing recognition, seeTrees was recently featured on Starbucks’ Summer 2026 Playlist, introducing its music to an even broader audience.
Known for creating immersive live performances, seeTrees combines lush instrumental arrangements with emotionally driven songwriting, offering audiences a concert experience that is equally suited for attentive listening and energetic live performance.
The performance takes place Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Historic Folsom Hotel Saloon, 703 Sutter Street in Historic Folsom. The show is open to all ages, with doors opening at 7 p.m. Tickets and additional event information are available at the Folsom Hotel Saloon website.
