Crash temporarily shut down roadway as emergency crews responded to two-vehicle collision

EL DORADO HILLS – Three people were injured Saturday afternoon following a two-vehicle collision on Green Valley Road near Brown’s Ravine in El Dorado Hills, prompting a full closure of the roadway while emergency crews treated victims and cleared the scene.

According to the El Dorado Hills Fire Department, crews were dispatched to the crash at approximately 12:45 p.m. on Green Valley Road in front of Brown’s Ravine.

Emergency personnel arrived at the scene, where three people sustained what personnel described as serious injuries. All three were transported to local hospitals for treatment.

The collision resulted in Green Valley Road being completely blocked for a period of time as first responders worked the incident. Long traffic backups developed in both directions as motorists were diverted around the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Authorities have not released any additional information regarding the circumstances leading up to the collision or the identities of those involved.
