Authorities confirmed that deputies responded around noon to reports of a shooting at Sunshine Mobile Village, located in the 6100 block of Main Avenue near Greenback Lane. What initially came in as a report of a single shooting victim quickly escalated as additional calls indicated a second person had also been shot.

When deputies arrived, they were met with an active and evolving scene as information continued to develop. According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, one victim—a woman—was found deceased at the scene. A second victim, a man, was located shortly after and transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The incident triggered a coordinated response involving multiple agencies, including the Folsom Police Department, which assisted sheriff’s deputies in securing the area and locating the suspect. Authorities determined early on that the suspect was a resident of the mobile home park and had returned to a trailer within the community following the shooting.

As deputies worked to assess the situation and locate the victims, an armored vehicle from the Folsom Police Department was deployed to the scene. Using the vehicle for protection, deputies and assisting officers approached the suspect’s trailer and were able to safely extract both victims from the area.
