The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Department and neighboring agencies are searching for two San Francisco residents that area suspected in connection to a string of identity theft and credit card fraud reports.

An investigation launched back in October identified Christopher Young and Lacey Nelson as suspects, according to the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office. On Wednesday of this week, officers executed a search warrant at Nelson’s San Francisco residence, where they reportedly found numerous items of mail and credit cards that were determined to be stolen.

According to the department, many of items located at the location in which the warrant was executed were reportedly stolen from several areas of El Dorado County. Items such as embossing machine, used to create fake credit cards were also reportedly located.

Young and Nelson were not at the residence when sheriff’s deputies arrived for their search. The two have active warrants out for their arrest and detectives are asking anyone with information regarding their whereabouts or that could help in the investigation to contact Det. Parker Driscoll at (530) 642-4709 or Det. Dominic Flores at (530) 642-4710.
