It’s time once again for the community to show up, speak out and support the businesses they love as voting is now officially open for the Best of Times 2026, presented by Folsom Times.
After a breakout inaugural year in 2025 that generated thousands of votes and celebrated the very best across more than 200 categories, the highly anticipated awards program returns bigger, more energized and ready to shine an even brighter spotlight on the people and places that define the region.
Now through June 9, residents are encouraged to head towww.bestoffolsom.comand cast their votes, rally their friends and make sure their go-to favorites rise to the top. Whether it’s the restaurant you recommend to everyone, the barber who never misses, or the local shop that always delivers, this is the moment to back them in a big way.
Following a competitive nomination period filled with strong community participation, the ballot now features a wide range of finalists representing the very best of Folsom and beyond. From dining and retail to health, fitness, professional services and entertainment, every category offers voters a chance to champion the businesses and individuals that make a daily impact.
“This part is where the community really takes ownership,” said Adam Frick, co-founder of Folsom Times. “What we saw in 2025 was incredible—people truly rallied behind their favorites, and it created an energy that carried throughout the entire program. We’ve built this to be transparent, community-driven and 100 percent local, and that’s exactly what made it so successful in its first year.”
Frick, who developed the Best of Times platform entirely in-house, emphasized that the process remains independent and rooted in fairness. By avoiding third-party systems and pay-to-play models, every vote reflects the authentic voice of the community.

The success of last year’s program not only highlighted standout businesses but also strengthened connections between residents and the local economy. Organizers say that enthusiasm is already building again, with early voting expected to generate strong momentum as the June 9 deadline approaches.
Community members are encouraged to vote early, share the ballot and help build excitement around their favorite businesses throughout the voting period. Winners will be announced after voting concludes, with first-, second- and third-place honors awarded in each category.
In addition to voting, participating businesses have opportunities to enhance their visibility during the campaign through optional promotional upgrades available on the official voting site. These enhancements are designed to increase awareness but do not influence voting outcomes.
