Members of the Folsom community came together with officials from the Folsom Chamber of Commerce and Choose Folsom Tuesday evening to officially welcome one of the area’s newest restaurants to Folsom Ranch. Slice House, the popular fast-casual pizza franchise by world renowned pizzaiolo Tony Gemignani was honored with its official ribbon cutting.

The newest location to the Slice House family is franchised and operated by local resident Sandeep Gill and is located at 3210 East Bidwell Street #100 at The Shops at Folsom Ranch. The restaurant has seen great early success since opening its doors in February of this year. Tuesday night, local residents, fellow business owners and chamber members had the opportunity to indulge in a variety of samplings that Gill and his staff dished up for the official ribbon cutting celebration.

“I am so proud to be partnered with Sandeep for this momentous opening of Slice House in Folsom, which is a hugely significant milestone for us given it expands our footprint in the San Francisco Bay Area into other parts of Northern California, where we are lucky to have such a strong local following,” Gemignani told Folsom Times as he and Gill prepared to fire up the ovens in Folsom earlier this year. “

Slice House in Folsom features an expansive menu of Gemignani’s famous New York, Sicilian, Grandma, Detroit, and California style pizzas including gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options, as well as pasta, wings, and salads accompanied by a drink menu featuring local craft brews and natural wines.

The Vampire Killer Pizza is a grandma-style pizza with black garlic sourced locally, Italian sausage, Tony Gemignani Hot Red Pepper Oil with Calabrian chili, and honey from El Dorado Honey Co. from El Dorado County; it was created by Gemignani and inspired by the owner’s love of spice and garlic.  The Vampire Killer Pizza will be available exclusively at Slice House in Folsom for purchase by the slice only at the restaurant.

The pizza hot spot has indoor seating for 20 people and outdoor seating for 40 people; in addition, it offers takeout, online ordering, and delivery.

“We are excited that Slice House is one of the first new retailers to open at The Shops at Folsom Ranch,” added Gill. “We encourage the community to come visit us at Slice House to dine inside or outside, pickup, or order online for delivery – we got you covered.”
