Project background

A pipeline construction project along Folsom Boulevard began in July 2023. Phase 1 and Phase 2 work which impacted Folsom Boulevard between Woodmere and Bidwell has been completed as of December 2023.

Phase 3 and Phase 4 work will only impact the intersection of Folsom Boulevard and Blue Ravine and is anticipated to begin in February/March of 2024.

Phase 3 of this project requires relocating a portion of the water line in the intersection at Blue Ravine and Folsom Blvd. Relocation of the water line will allow the city access to repair a section of the sewer line. The repair of the sewer line is necessary in order to Improve the hydraulics of the sewer line during both average dry weather flow conditions, as well as peak wet weather flow conditions. The improvement was identified by the city’s sewer capacity assurance plan analysis and helps the city meet the Regional Water Quality Control Boards Waste Discharge Requirements.
