After a relentless winter, I, for one, am ready to welcome spring. After all, who doesn’t appreciate new beginnings? The longer days, warm weather, and return of the sunshine are all added bonuses.

Future Folsom

It’s always an informative and educational event. Future Folsom returns on April 27. This annual event provides a wealth of regional economic insights from experts and the essential information to help you plan. Plus, it’s an opportunity to connect with the Folsom business community.

New this year, the event will feature a bus tour of future projects and new business developments after the presentation. I invite you to join me on the tour, as seeing the projects in person tells a powerful story.

Join us from 7:30 – 9:30 am at Palladio 16 Cinema for an informative morning. Reserve your spot.

PowerSchool continues expansion

Our friends at PowerSchool continue to spread the benefits of their educational technology platform far and wide. Most recently, they announced a partnership with OneConnect in Africa. PowerSchool is also helping democratize education by improving digital access in India, the Middle East, Uruguay, and the Philippines, thanks to channel partners.

Additional acquisitions for Allworth Financial

Folsom-based wealth advisory and retirement planning firm Allworth Financial continues its growth, racking up two more acquisitions earlier this month. This brings the total number of companies it’s purchased to 27, ensuring it’s well on its way to becoming a national brand!

More housing for Folsom

Unlike other parts of the state, Folsom’s actively working against the housing shortage with new development opportunities. The latest, a multifamily apartment complex, will feature one to three-bedroom units, a clubhouse, a pool, and a fitness center.

A banner year for wildflowers

We’ve seen some incredible super blooms at Folsom Lake in the last few years. With a record-setting winter almost behind us, it will be interesting to see if this spring and summer deliver a similar record-setting year for wildflowers. Any takers for guesses?
