Sacramento Welcomes First Ever Terra Madre Americas

September 26 - September 28
Event Series(See All)
Free

Sacramento will host the inaugural Terra Madre Americas from September 26 to 28, 2025, bringing together chefs, farmers, producers, artisans, and food leaders from across the Americas to celebrate diverse food cultures and promote sustainable, equitable food systems. Organized by Slow Food in partnership with Visit Sacramento, this free, public event will be held every two years for the next decade. It highlights the city’s evolution as a global culinary hub and reinforces its reputation as America’s Farm-to-Fork Capital.

The event will be a three-day celebration of agriculture, food justice, cultural heritage, and sustainability, with food and drink tastings from across the Americas, interactive exhibits, celebrity chef demonstrations, educational panels, a rotating culinary bistro, an ‘Enoteca’ wine bar, and a music festival headlined by The War on Drugs, Spoon, Big Head Todd and The Monsters, Jade Bird and Passion Pit (solo acoustic). Terra Madre Americas will take place both inside and around the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center in downtown Sacramento and is an admission-free event.
