Folsom’s Palladio at Broadstone has announced that Santa Claus will be making an early appearance at the popular shopping venue later this week to kick off the holiday shopping season and the community is invited to join in the festivities.
The jolly guy in red will make the special trip to participate in the Palladio holiday tree lighting ceremony scheduled for this Saturday, Nov. 18. The event comes a bit earlier than others this year, but residents can benefit from that as the celebration won’t compete with several other upcoming holiday events in the weeks that follow.
“Boys and girls will be overjoyed to learn that Santa Claus is coming to Folsom for the Palladio’s annual Christmas Tree lighting ceremony,” said Gloria Wright, general manager of the Palladio at Broadstone. “This event marks the beginning of the holiday season and a time for giving and cheer.”
Saturday’s event is scheduled to begin at 5:00 in the Piazza of the Palladio, located in the center of the destination. In addition to the illumination of the tree, the event will offer holiday music, beverages, holiday cookies and a number of giveaways for children, according to Wright.
The event marks the kick-off of the Holiday shopping and entertainment season for over 100 retailers, restaurants and movie theaters located at the Palladio. Wright added that one week later, the Palladio is giving away a family four pass to SeaQuest, an interactive aquarium those interested can stop by Guest Services between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m on Friday, November 24th.
Also new for this holiday season Hilltop Christmas Trees will have a tree lot starting the day after Thanksgiving, November 24th. Christmas Trees will be sold in the Nordstrom Rack parking lot.
