Folsom and El Dorado Hills Chambers team up to celebrate newest luxury living facility
FOLSOM – Community members, local leaders, and representatives from both the Choose Folsom and the El Dorado Hills Chamber gathered Thursday afternoon to celebrate the grand opening of Anindell, Folsom’s newest luxury living facility for adults aged 55 and over. The joint event included a ceremonial ribbon-cutting at noon, followed by tours of the luxury 55 plus community’s residences and amenities.
Located at 115 Healthy Way, Anindell offers a variety of one- and two-bedroom apartments, each featuring high ceilings ranging from 9 to 11 feet, quartz countertops, stainless steel Energy Star-rated appliances, in-unit washers and dryers, tiled walk-in showers, and private balconies or patios.
Guests at the grand opening enjoyed light bites and refreshments while exploring Anindell’s common spaces. Among its many eye opening amenities is the Sky Terrace Lounge, complete with billiards and gaming tables, is a gathering spot. Visitors also toured the bistro with its private dining room and catering kitchen, the movie theater featuring lounge chairs, and the yoga studio and fitness center. Outdoor features include the swimming pool and spa, a pet park, pickleball courts, and resident garden beds.
According to the company,, Anindell offers a wellness program known as ” LiveWell at Anindell,” which encourages physical fitness, mental wellness, emotional balance, and social connection. Residents can participate in fitness classes, creative workshops, and social gatherings.
Among the many guests at the event were Anindell’s first residents, Neil and Sue, who have moved into the facility. After meeting in Hawaii decades ago — he was serving in the U.S. Navy and she worked at a local restaurant — Neil and Sue are the first two residents to move out of their home in El Dorado and into Anindell.
After spending the first seven years of their lives together, the couple eventually moved to the mainland, settling in Petaluma and raising two boys. They later lived in Truckee for 10 years before moving to El Dorado, where they spent the last 15 years. After stopping by Anindell during its construction phase, they chose their future apartment on the spot, sight unseen. They opted to rent instead of buying into a traditional 55+ community to simplify their lives, according to David Cumpston, Associate Vice President of Wright On Communications on behalf of Anindell. Now, instead of managing over 20 bills each month, they have just four.
