Lakeside Church’s Summer Blitz camp for kids has been an integral part of Folsom’s summer culture for 20 years, and the camp continues to grow in popularity. With 900 camper and volunteer sign-ups within the first 24 hours of launching registration of Summer Blitz 2025—June 9-12—anticipation is high for this Folsom favorite.
“A lot of planning, passion, and prayer goes into making Summer Blitz a highlight of summer for the kids in our community,” said Jen Jarvis, Lakeside’s children’s ministry pastor. “We are excited to welcome kiddos onto our campus and provide them an action-packed, faith-building, and safe four days of fun, faith, and friendship.”
Giant inflatables are a favorite at Summer Blitz. During the week of camp, the grass field of Lakeside’s twenty-eight acre campus—at the corner of Oak Avenue Parkway and East Bidwell—is home to inflatable slides and water activities. In addition to wet and wild outdoor recreation, campers will also experience hands-on arts and crafts, live music, high-energy worship, and entertaining skits and Bible teaching centered on this year’s theme of being “Set Free” to discover the love of Jesus—all in the Wild, Wild West!
“I am so grateful to be a part of this Folsom tradition for kids in our community,” said Brian Becker, Lakeside’s lead pastor. “Lakeside has a legacy of investing in our community and in the next generation, and Summer Blitz is a beautiful reflection of that commitment.”
Registration for kids K-5th grade is open now for a cost of $120. Learn more and register at www.lakesidechurch.com/summer-blitz. Camp will take place June 9-12, 9 a.m.–12:45 p.m. on the Lakeside Church campus, 745 Oak Avenue Parkway, Folsom.
