It’s been more than 25 years since the very first live notes echoed through the walls of Powerhouse Pub in Historic Folsom—and this weekend, the band that struck the inaugural chord returns, as Wonder Bread 5 takes the stage once again where it all began.

Wonder Bread 5, the high-energy San Francisco-based party band known for their genre-spanning dance floor anthems, returns to Powerhouse this Saturday night at 10:00 p.m., bringing their signature style and full-throttle stage presence to the very venue where they were the first live band to perform a quarter-century ago.

“I remember they packed the place that night back then, and they still pack it today whenever they come back,” said Murray Weaver, who booked the band when he first opened Powerhouse. “They had a great following then and still do today, its always a good show.”

Formed from a tight-knit group of lifelong friends, Wonder Bread 5 has spent years building a reputation as one of the most in-demand live dance bands on the circuit. With Chris Adams on keyboards and vocals, Jeffrey Fletcher on lead vocals, John McDill on bass and vocals, Tommy Rickard on drums and vocals, and Michael Taylor on guitar and vocals, the band delivers a full-throttle experience that turns every performance into a party.

Their versatility allows them to tailor performances for everything from nightclub shows and weddings to major corporate events, fundraisers, and global festivals. Their strength lies in their ability to appeal to a wide range of audiences—and to keep the dance floor packed from the first note to the last.

The band’s longevity and ever-evolving catalog have made them one of the most sought-after acts in the country. Wonder Bread 5 is exclusively booked through Jay Siegan Presents and continues to headline events around the world, while still making time to return to the venues that helped launch their legacy—like Powerhouse Pub.
